Its true, AI doesnt make art. People using AI as a tool makes art.

My thoughts on AI is that is better used as a randomizer, NEVR an end product maker. Like, if you're stuck on thinking about what to make you can have the AI randomize something to reference (I suck with coming up for names for fantasy characters and I use a fantasy name generator that has been around much longer than generative AI has) This is the limit AI should have, being a randomizer. We should never replace artists because a machine does not have a soul, and it cannot capture the soul within a work of art.

I can'T draw to save my life due to lack of patience. Anyway here's this silly T1m I made in Tomadachi life by hand that took me a good 1-2 hour to give to a single character because they were depressed and had no friend on the island to help them. And it's the best thing I made

AI art could only look similar to real art if instead of it being generated (diffusion), it was an AI actually trained to draw. But even then it would never have the soul of human made art.

I call it “Computer Generated Artificial Pictures” or simply C.R.A.P.

AI can only ever meet expectations. Human art can surpass expectations. The evolving process of an idea is something that cannot be captured by AI.

I don't get it, who told them that you need investment to learn things? I've never heard that in my life.

the mona lasi is a bit of a hard cherry pick because what made it that valuable is the same principle that is to this day. if you are alive, it's implied that you can replicate your own art. when you are dead, it's implied that it can't be replicated because your style is unique.
