Mark’s situation during his departure: It was really complicated, but I decided I wasn’t going to look at the reactions right away, and I actually thought, “Yeah, I shouldn’t check Instagram or anything,” and posted it. I don’t think I even went home. My mom was honestly really scared too. But it’s not like I’m just retiring like this, and there were probably rumors like, “Oh, is he retiring?” “So he’s going to busk?” “He’s going to go diving?” People were saying things like that, and I realized, “Ah, they must have been worrying like that too.” That’s when I learned more about the fans’ perspective.
