Ain't Dat a Shame played on a Regina 15.5 music box!

Here's a fantastic version from 1902! It's sung by Will F. Denny who was born in Boston ~1860 and become one of the most popular vaudeville singers. He signed an exclusive record contract with Columbia in 1898. I wish I knew who this incredible pianist is!

tbf they are musically/lyrically quite different. BUT honestly I never could stand Fats Domino. Listening to his "ain't that a shame" next to this one shows just how the quality of popular songs decreased sharply in 50 years.
