🚨 Akademiks says “THANK YOU” to Kendrick Lamar for HELPING Drake bounce back after the battle by not keeping his foot on the gas Ak says Kendrick not dropping music and staying active gave Drake room to regain momentum. “After the battle, Kendrick needed to keep his foot on the gas to make it a tough time for Drake in the future. He didn’t.” Ak says “heavy is the head if you’re gonna wear the crown,” arguing Kendrick doesn’t release frequently enough to keep control of the conversation. He says the result makes Drake look “TEFLON” even to people who believe he lost the battle: “As soon as Drake drops the some shit, people love Drake again.”

This is the problem with Kendrick fans. They don’t criticize a nigga.” Ak also revisits the old “Drake has no classic” debate, saying: “The climate was different… hip hop standards have been changed.” Via Akademiks

🚨 Akademiks says the problem with some Drake rivals is that Drake himself keeps becoming the selling point of THEIR music Ak says with AZ Chike, the conversation became “Kendrick is dissing everybody,” and now with Pusha T it’s “he’s back dissing Drake.” “I’m not telling y’all y’all can’t diss Drake… Drake be dissing y’all, I get it.” But Ak says Drake’s own albums are never sold on “wait till you hear what he said about Pusha T” or A$AP Rocky. “ if the biggest reason people are checking for your project is another Drake storyline, that says a lot.”
