My final stop in greater Mukono was addressing a rally in Buikwe district where I reminded all beneficiaries that the PDM funds are not giveaways but community-owned investments. This PDM is the people’s bank. It is not a handout, it’s a revolving fund meant to uplift Ugandans from poverty. Those who have received the money must ensure it is put to good use and repaid after two years so that others can also benefit. Misusing it or failing to repay, means you deny others a chance to improve their livelihoods. I thank all the people of Greater Mukono for the warm welcome and wish them good luck!

Yesterday we conducted fresh elections for the leadership of the PDM Sacco in Nyendo Ward. Our people came out and exposed the gross rot in the former leadership. People's money was being stolen. Even worse, beneficiaries were from the same households — we found one household with 5 people who received PDM. We are now embarking on fresh elections for Kalagala Parish as well. Chairmen who were involved in high-level corruption in PDM and hiding under the "NRM political veil" were arrested. Those who had been released because of "godfathers" and excuses to do with NRM have been re-arrested on the direct orders of His Excellency Gen. Yoweri K Museveni The President's directive is clear: NO MORE POLITENESS TOWARDS THE CORRUPT. We shall continue to protect public funds and ensure PDM reaches the intended beneficiaries!
