Wilmore: This is a type of hypocrisy that I've seen for a while now. There's always been this kind of hyperventilating rightly so over protecting middle class workers.. unless they work for the government, then they don't count. Then they're not real Americans. All of a sudden, their jobs are disposable. You can cut them off immediately. That is a different type of elitism that has now crept into the right where there's elitism against working class people who have civil service jobs. When I was growing up, for black people, people of color, civil service jobs was one of the only ways to get into the middle class.

Workers ought to have the right to choose who they want to work for. Second, for millions of workers who make less than $58,656, my U.S. Department of Labor is saying you have the right to overtime protections. If you work extra hours, you deserve extra pay.
