🚨ALARM! OPM's rule will make it easier to fire 50,000 fed workers who don't support Trump's agenda. “If they aren't working hard on behalf of the president, they're not welcome to work for him at all.” Leaving a MAGA hat at home could now end 20-year civil service protections?

If somebody works for you—and you can’t fire them—they don’t work for you. You work for them. Welcome to federal bureaucracy. End it. I will replace civil service protections with 8-year term limits.

🚨BREAKING: President Trump announces a brand new plan aimed at blue-collar, non-salaried workers to END all taxes on overtime: "We will end all taxes on overtime ... This gives people more of an incentives to work. It gives the companies, it's a lot easier to get the people... They're police officers, nurses, factory workers, construction workers, truck drivers, and machine operators. It's time for the working man and woman to finally catch a break."

🚨Marc Andreessen on Federal Workers working from home: "Most Federal workers never came back to work. They work from home. Something like half. They still draw paychecks, they still have their jobs, but they're not in the office. There are some agencies that are both unionized AND have civil service protections and they've negotiated a deal where people have to come in one day a MONTH. What they do is they come in on the last day of the month and the first day of the following month so they only have to be there for two days then they go move somewhere cheaper and keep the same paycheck. This is what DOGE aims to stop."

Cory Doctorow on the Daily Show : "We need to make tech workers unionized again ... They need a union because tech workers that aren't working behind a keyboard, those tech workers, they're peeing in bottles or they're being injured at three times the national rate in an Amazon warehouse. That's how tech bosses treat the workers they're not afraid of."

Koh: I think if this is a president who really wanted to empower workers, he wouldn't have just stripped 700,000 people of their collective bargaining rights. If this was a president who really wanted to empower workers, he wouldn't have cut $500 million of labor protections and labor investigations across the world. If this was a president who really cared about empowering workers. He wouldn't have tried to change a rule last time he was president that would have made it easier for managers to take from the tip pools of their servers. This is all a farce.

BREAKING: Donald Trump announces that he will ban taxes on overtime work if elected president to incentivize hard workers. "I am also announcing that as part of our additional tax cuts, we will end all taxes on overtime." Under the plan, anyone who works over 40 hours a week would not be taxed on the hours over 40 for any given week. "The people who work overtime are among the hardest working citizens in our country and for too long, no one in Washington has been looking out for them." "They're police officers, nurses, factory workers, construction workers, truck drivers and machine operators." "It's time for the working man and woman to finally catch a break."

🇦🇷 "I don't know if I'm going to make it home. I don't know if I'm going to make it to my shift tomorrow." A 16-year police veteran speaks at a protest in Santa Fe as officers' families join the demonstration. He's talking about Milei and politicians who won because of cops, doctors, and teachers. "And look how they're repaying us. They're destroying us mentally." "Hopefully at least someone's sacrifice will be useful to all you sons of bitches."

Wilmore: This is a type of hypocrisy that I've seen for a while now. There's always been this kind of hyperventilating rightly so over protecting middle class workers.. unless they work for the government, then they don't count. Then they're not real Americans. All of a sudden, their jobs are disposable. You can cut them off immediately. That is a different type of elitism that has now crept into the right where there's elitism against working class people who have civil service jobs. When I was growing up, for black people, people of color, civil service jobs was one of the only ways to get into the middle class.

Folks, my Administration has announced two new big steps to get American workers a better deal. Let me explain: First, the FTC is cracking down on "non-compete agreements," contracts that employers use to prevent their workers from changing jobs even if that job will pay a few dollars more, or provide better working conditions. Workers ought to have the right to choose who they want to work for. Second, for millions of workers who make less than $58,656, my U.S. Department of Labor is saying you have the right to overtime protections. If you work extra hours, you deserve extra pay.
