Imagine if you took those words and spun them around as being the proud backbone of Canada. California, Texas and New York drive the American economy and proudly do so. You’d be hard pressed to pry the American flag from any of them. Yet, here you are. Greedy

The only metric to which Alberta generates wealth is on a per capita basis. Wealth generated in total is still quite small. The metric that goes to Alberta's advantage, fails against the GTA that has not only more people, but a higher GDP per capita.
