Alberta and Quebec should be best friends. They both demand Provincial sovereignty and want the Federal government to respect Provincial jurisdiction. Maybe they can both separate and start a new Canadian Republic?

If Quebec is a "distinct society" within Canada, then Alberta can be too.

Alberta needs a credible exit plan for that and be ready to enact it when Ottawa says no.

Just separate the feds have no intention of working with you on anything. Alberta would be better served separating and going it alone

Every province needs to be able to do what it needs to without interference from the federal government. As soon as things go interprovincial, then they can step in. The Federal government has long been overstepping their bounds and interfering with provincial matters.

Alberta has turned into a wannabe Quebec. Quebec has the annoying “Bloc Québécois” which sole purpose is to constantly cry about Quebec’s needs within Canada. Alberta now wants its own version of “Bloc Quebecois” which will constantly cry about Alberta’s needs in Canada.
