I want to thank Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for committing to form a bilateral working group with Alberta to find solutions, but we still have a ways to go… Alberta has sovereign jurisdiction over our energy production. We cannot accept any unrealistic emissions caps (de facto production caps) on our oil and natural gas industry. The Conservative Party has an Alberta problem — a big one It's not because Alberta has abandoned the Conservatives, but because Alberta's Conservative voters might be outgrowing Ottawa, and we have the poll numbers to prove it. A new @ActForAlberta poll shows something remarkable: 66% of Conservative Party of Canada supporters in Alberta support independence; 51% strongly support it. Another 15% somewhat support it. That is not a fringe. That is not a handful of angry keyboard warriors. That is the federal Conservatives' Western engine room looking at Confederation and saying: maybe this deal is done. And that explains something important about the way Pierre Poilievre and the federal Conservatives talk about Alberta independence. They oppose it, of course. They have to. The Conservative Party of Canada cannot win without Alberta. Take Alberta out of Confederation and the CPC loses its safest seats, its donor base, its volunteer army, and its moral claim to represent Western Canada. Without Alberta, there may never be another Conservative government in Ottawa again. So yes, they are against independence. But notice what they are not doing. I am proud to be an Ismaili Muslim. I am deeply grateful for the community we have here in our country, and I look forward to welcoming the Aga Khan back for his first visit to Alberta.

🚨 We're launching an Alberta independence campaign — and this is why we had to do it We’re going 'all in' on the independence referendum on October 19. I have major news to share with you. We are officially launching Act For Alberta — a legally registered third-party campaign group supporting the Alberta independence petition drive, which is ending on May 2, 2026. The Alberta Energy Regulator needs to be a regulator - not a political arm with the Premier’s friends and insiders. The minister tells me they "don't hire friends." Well, that's not what public record tells us. My office regularly receives desperate pleas for help from landowners. Alberta is facing a crisis in oil and gas liabilities’ cleanup. Instead of keeping promises to Alberta landowners, many companies declare bankruptcy after they’ve made profits, leaving massive junk wells on private lands. Many companies respect landowners, but there are bad actors. The regulator has the power to stop bad actors, but the UCP continuous political interference in the AER isn’t helping. There are good technical folks working in the regulator and they want to do the right thing. Let them do their jobs. Albertans deserve a regulator that’s independent, transparent, and focused on protecting Albertans and the public interest. #ableg #abpoli

Well, that's not what public record tells us. My office regularly receives desperate pleas for help from landowners. Alberta is facing a crisis in oil and gas liabilities’ cleanup. Instead of keeping promises to Alberta landowners, many companies declare bankruptcy after they’ve made profits, leaving massive junk wells on private lands. Many companies respect landowners, but there are bad actors. The regulator has the power to stop bad actors, but the UCP continuous political interference in the AER isn’t helping. There are good technical folks working in the regulator and they want to do the right thing. Let them do their jobs. Albertans deserve a regulator that’s independent, transparent, and focused on protecting Albertans and the public interest. #ableg #abpoli

Quebec has spent $228 billion on foreign oil between 1988 - 2020. For a government that said they would eliminate trade barriers, Mark Carney is not only helping block Alberta oil going to Quebec, he is then racking up new debt to offset those oil imports for the fictitious climate change agenda. The idea that 42 million people in Canada are responsible for global temperatures or can even change the temperatures by a fraction of a degree, is absurd. So why do so many Canadians pretend we can?$

🚨PROOF: CBC’s Headline Misrepresented Premier Smith’s Position🚨 I’ve obtained the English version of what Premier Danielle Smith actually said in her Radio-Canada interview, and it confirms that CBC’s original headline was false. The Premier did not say she would campaign against Alberta sovereignty in the event of a referendum. Her answer in French matches exactly what she told me at the UCP AGM: She supports Alberta sovereignty within a united Canada, and she reiterated that position, nothing more.
