Alberta Premier Danielle Smith expressed optimism about future negotiations with President-elect Trump’s new administration after her visit to Mar-a-Lago. She repeated that her goal is to increase Alberta’s oil and gas exports to the U.S. and expanding pipeline capacity across the border.

She's far too stupid to not realize she has been played - and is now just amplifying Trump's rhetoric, which is aimed at influencing Canada's political future. She's his mouthpiece at this point.

Trump's issue with Canada is that he feels they're subsidizing them via a trade deficit. Simply increasing oil exports will only exacerbate that irritant. More trade between the countries isn't good enough. Think economic union re. O'Leary.
