Albertans don’t walk away from challenges. We never have. We never will. The separatists want to break up our country and tell Albertans how to live, even though a clear majority don’t agree with them or their vision for our future. On Oct. 19, vote for a stronger Alberta... show more

There is no benefit to Albertans in staying in Canada.

Repeating the same thing for 121 years and expecting a different outcome is way past insanity at this point.

There is only one path for REAL change, self-determination, and a brighter future. That's option 2. We have been living in option 1 for our entire lives, option 1 is what you promote - the status quot, it's time for option 2.

"Albertan's don't walk away from challenges" Initiating the referendum would be the first step to address the challenge, actually. Ottawa is impossible to reform otherwise, which should be obvious at this point.

Well …if there is a clear majority then what are you worrying about…??? Seems like an awful lot of concern for what others like you call a fringe group ..🤷♂️

This is so rhetorically vile & distorting that one must conclude you DON'T have an argument. "Separatists want to break up our country and tell Albertans how to live, even though a clear majority don’t agree with them or their vision for our future." Did Quebecois separatists want to tell their fellow Quebecois how to live? The point of a political referendum IS to honor voters' wishes, yet you frame any referenda w/o a clear majority BEFORE THE VOTE as some totalitarian maneuver, when in fact, that's how you've illegally obtained your $4 million & obstructed & punished the Separatist movement, which is entirely LEGAL. Your GASLIGHTING message is an attempt to invalidate Canadian provinces' legal right to evaluate whether they wish to remain in Canada, while accusing THEM of what you're doing. For shame. @ikwilson @LetABDecide @ABWomensNetwork

Didn’t you guys write a constitution already?

You have no solutions to fix confederation.

canada stands in Albertas way every step of the road and then takes the money for our efforts, why is that? I would call that a challenge that we waste or valuble time and energy on with ZERO payback. You need to stop listening to the cbc.

You losers make me sick you won’t even stand up for our beloved Alberta. Move out

We are not walking away. We are facing it head on. You are burying your head in the sand.

So Alberta Conservatives who don't share your progressive social and economic views should be resigned to the whims of the thought control and censorship agenda of this guy for the foreseeable future? No thanks.

Challenges? Stuck on stupid, you mean. If a positive alternative exists to a negative situation you take the win. Prosperity awaits Albertans. Nostalgic pride for a confederation in shambles will not put food on your table.

Albertans have zero desire to break up the country. They merely want independence and sovereignty. In fact, they would prefer if they could achieve independence and sovereignty within canada, but they can't. The rest of the country can continue to stay together if they want. Please stop your deceptions and misleading statements.

Canada will never be united if Alberta doesn’t get a fair deal. Fix the system if you want unity.

Please outline the top 5 reasons why Alberta should stay in Canada, specifics please not lofty motherhood statements

But you’re okay with Ottawa and Quebec telling you how to live ? Bit of hypocrisy here huh

We haven't always been in Canada though, we were the hudson bay company, we only joined in 1905 a totally different people from Canada, creators, builders, innovators, business men, traders, farmers. Canada then split us from Sask, because we'd of had to much political power and they wanted to use us for resource and wealth extraction to enrich the east, it's in our founding documents and has been the case ever since.

Ottawa is telling us how to live. If you like freedom of choice, then a referendum is nothing to fear.

We don’t care how you want to live only that you have options. In fact, it’s Canada who wants to control how you live and what you can read and what you can say. Canada is in dangerous waters right now and we must save ourselves and maybe we can save Canada.

Canada itself is weakening under decades of Liberal rule, mass immigration, and economic mismanagement. So why should Alberta stay on a sinking ship? Two failed constitutional conventions and a Conservative government could not make any structural changes. Why stay?

Because of the unelected, unequal, and ineffective Senate, ALL provinces are nothing more than colonies of Ontario and Quebec. This will NEVER change. We have been mocked, abused, and fleeced for 121 years. ENOUGH!!! TIME. TO. LEAVE.

Canada is not united, staying in Canada will not unite it. Being comfortable is an excuse to not change, even a change for the better. Vote option 2 for a better present and a better future for generations to come. Option 1 means the continued decline of Canada.

Give me ONE solid reason to stay! Ottawa treats Alberta like its cash cow while Albertans like up at Foodbanks, can’t pay rent/mortgages. No thanks!

LONG LIVE A FREE AND INDEPENDENT ALBERTA!! let Albertans vote!

So whats your problem then?? Oh right, Albertans will be told how to live by the high foreheads in Ottawa!!!

Want a stronger Alberta? Then Vote Option 2

Canada is ending. It is just a matter of time. An Independent Alberta will be a powerful player on the world stage.

What kinda of message does that send to Ottawa ? The referendum is not a vote to separate or to stay , but to send Ottawa a message, Alberta has had enough and the relationship with Ottawa needs to change , what precisely don’t you people understand?

As a Quebecer I can easily see why Alberta will leave.

I’m still waiting for one of you to enlighten me as to the benefits to Alberta tax payers by maintaining the status quo

And here I thought the referendum was to show what the majority of albertans wants. Why is it a problem having a referendum?Because they met the criteria.

@montesolberg Well, we don’t know that a “clear majority” want to stay in Canada. That’s why there is a referendum on October 19. #Option2
