Do NOT sleep on TerraTech Legion, available now in Xbox Game Pass. TerraTech Legion is a "bullet heaven" survivors-type game, and I've been addicted to it on Xbox Ally recently. The upgrade path is very creative, letting you build tanks with modular pieces a bit like Lego. Huge waves of increasingly crazy robots, along with bosses, as your tank becomes ever increasingly complicated. It's super good. MORE: 💚

The moment Hideo Kojima shocked everyone by stepping onto the XBOX stage in 2009 Seeing Kojima this close with Xbox again in 2026 is giving me the SAME feeling I had watching E3 that day💚 I watched this moment LIVE and it still hits. 🟢 When Kojima walked onto the Xbox 360 stage, a lot of us thought the impossible was happening: MGS4 was finally coming to Xbox. Instead, Kojima revealed an entirely NEW game: METAL GEAR SOLID: RISING And hearing Kojima speak in English for that long on stage made the moment feel even more special. He didn’t just send a trailer. HE showed up for Xbox. 🟢 This was Xbox 360 at the top of its game. Huge E3 moments. Massive surprises. Xbox Live booming. Microsoft chasing Japanese creators and franchises people never expected to see on Xbox. Then the story got even crazier! The original Rising struggled in development and was eventually cancelled. PlatinumGames stepped in, rebuilt the concept and turned it into: METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE. It became a success, developed a huge cult following, and somehow we STILL never got a sequel. 😭 🟢 Now look at 2026. Kojima and Xbox are close again with OD, and now PHYSINT is part of that relationship too. That’s why this feels so full circle to me. 2009: Kojima walks onto the Xbox stage and shocks gaming. 2026: Kojima is back alongside Xbox leadership with major projects ahead. I’m starting to get that old Xbox 360 feeling again. Big swings. Big creators. Unpredictable announcements. Are Kojima and Xbox bringing some of that PEAK magic back? 💚🎮

XBOX CEO Asha Sharma says that gamers want physical media, so they are announcing when you purchase a game you get both They are keeping physical discs, and when you buy one it will come with a digital entitlement How it will work: - Put the disc in an Xbox that has a disc drive - Launch the game - Claim a digital license on your Xbox account - After that, you can play the game without putting the disc in, the disk will still work like a normal game disk The digital license is tied to that specific disc, not permanently locked to you forever If you sell or give the disc away and the new owner inserts it and claims it, the digital license moves to their account and comes off yours This is the way it would be. Getting both physical media and digital media that you can own and sell Launch is with 1,000 games and more coming later

XBOX Gen-10 details: • Microsoft's next-generation Xbox (Gen-10) is the company's most ambitious and risky gaming platform, built as a Windows 11 gaming PC with a TV-optimized, console-like interface. • It supports full backward compatibility for all Xbox One, Series X|S, and legacy games, plus any Windows 11 PC titles. • Users can exit the Xbox interface to full Windows for tasks like streaming, coding, or music production, akin to Steam Deck's Linux mode. • Core hardware features an AMD semi-custom SoC codenamed “Magnus.” • AMD CEO Lisa Su: “Development of Microsoft's next-gen Xbox featuring an AMD semi-custom SoC is progressing well to support a launch in 2027.” • 2027 launch is a "best-case scenario"; Microsoft insiders are surprised by Su's timeline, pending Windows 11 polish. • Xbox President Sarah Bond confirmed a multi-year Xbox-AMD partnership for hardware and backward compatibility. • Xbox and Windows teams collaborate for a seamless, console-like OS experience atop Windows 11. • Supports multiple storefronts: Xbox Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store, with ports to PS and Switch 2. • The "Xbox Everywhere" strategy offers hardware choices via OEM partners like ASUS (Xbox Ally preview). • OEMs (ASUS, Lenovo, and Razer) to offer a range of Xbox-branded devices at different price/performance points. • Microsoft plans its own first-party Xbox handheld in the future. • NPU-powered features like auto-generated gameplay highlight clips, testing on Xbox Ally X, and rollout in March 2026. • Emphasizes cross-play, cross-saves, and cross-purchasing via Xbox Play Anywhere to grow the industry. • First-party games ported to Steam, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch 2. • Easier developer publishing tools; major updates at GDC 2026. • Polished software experience is critical; current Ally handhelds highlight Windows issues to fix. • Epic Games Store and Steam are expected to be part of the next Xbox’s multi-store openness, alongside Xbox’s own store. • Price is uncertain (due to tariffs and costs; OEMs for affordability), but the next Xbox may skew more premium (~$1,000)—while lower-end options may persist via partners. Also, Series S support will be extended. • Echoes the original Xbox vision of Windows in the living room; Surface-like premium ecosystem strategy. via: Windows Central Jez

For users here, here's an overview of how Xbox's disc-to-digital program works ICYMI. - Put the compatible Xbox disc in an Xbox One or Xbox Series X, open the tile with the menu button, claim the code. - If you run the game from the disc, code is claimed automatically. - If you give the disc away/sell it, the license transfers to the new user. - If you re-acquire the disc, it comes back to you. - It doesn't over-write your digital copy if you already purchased it. - No digital "check in," it's tied to your account like any digital copy. - Xbox Play Anywhere, cloud, etc. More thoughts on the future of the program in the video below!

New Xbox streak engagement toast rolling out for some Xbox Insiders. 👀 Hit 3 days played in a week to keep your weekly streak alive, with the streak counter climbing as you go. I launched Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds for about 15 seconds and it triggered the punch. Seems to be completely separate from Xbox Rewards and Game Pass streaks. The toast reads: "Strong Start - 1st week in the bank Be sure to play 3 days new week, too, to keep your streak alive."
