Tomorrow is a very special day for me… ~A year ago, I was tasked with building business at what was a very dormant Larry Flynt's Lucky Lady Casino. I brought some folks in with me to help build a 2/3 NL game and a $5 DBPLOBP game. It was a STRUGGLE… Turns out it’s incredibly hard to get poker players to try new venues, even if they are beautiful, even if you offer them free food, even if you spew hard and buy bucket after bucket of beer! So, I started @Live_Poker_Show, to make the allure of Lucky Lady even stronger for LA poker players. At the time, my only intention was to build business at LL and hopefully become a complimentary stream to HCL one day. Jarred Kelenic is red-hot, including a week in which he hit 4 HRs in 4 consecutive days. After batting practice today, we talked about what has changed. Kelenic, 26, is a former first-round draft pick of the Mets who has had over 1,300 at bats in the past 5 seasons with the Mariners and the Braves, with modest results given his pedigree. The White Sox are hoping they can help Kelenic unleash his massive potential. I have to think he’ll get an extended look in Chicago at some point this season, especially if he stays on this current heater. Interestingly, the Charlotte Knights do not have any position players on the 40-man roster, as opposed 10 pitchers. FutureSox

Brinks driver steals 100,000 in cash from his route gets arrested. Brian Anson Miller, a 35-year-old former security driver for Brinks, who was arrested following the disappearance of $104,000 in cash. Brian was booked for a short 13 stop route and was given 5 ATM bags to run the ATMs on his route. While on his route toward Panama City, Miller reportedly aborted his scheduled stops and made an unauthorized 11-minute detour to a rest area on I-10. Internal surveillance footage from the armored truck allegedly showed Miller exiting the vehicle with a company-issued cash transport bag and returning with a personal backpack that appeared "full and heavy." He was then seen stuffing a jacket on top of the bag to conceal the contents. Brian ended his route earlier telling the supervisor that his child was sick. After completing his modified route, Miller returned to the facility but only checked in the four original bags. Over the following weekend, Miller resigned via a message to his supervisor and allegedly tossed his uniforms over the facility fence. Brinks security contacted Miller about the missing money. He reportedly hung up the phone and refused further contact. Deputies from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office located Miller leaving his home and initiated the traffic stop shown in the footage. During the search, they found over $900 in cash on him, primarily in $20 bills. Miller was charged with first-degree felony grand theft of over $100,000. At the time of his arrest, he denied involvement, claiming the unauthorized stop was simply to use the restroom and suggesting the company frequently misplaced money. He was later released on a $50,000 bond pending trial. We will revisit this one after his trail.

Top of scale run (3.92 bunt, 3.99-4.01) w/ pro actions & lightning twitch in box make him the most athletic 2026 draft prospect in a top 5 MLB player producing state (GA). Standout ease of effort & body balance in all facets. Near plus bat speed well before physical ceiling. 1st step quickness and lengthy gliding strides will allow top of scale run to play true on basepaths. Could be special defender in CF. Natural reads, standout range, and rare footwork at SS w/ future AVG arm. Turns 18 just days b4 draft. This is a potential plus defender in CF for me with future A/AVG or better defense at 2B the backup plan (if arm ends up light for SS). Outside of elite athleticism - his spin recognition, ability to ctrl effort, rhythm+timing, and feel 2 waste pitches lead me to believe it’s an AVG hit tool down the line. The fact he’s played much less high level baseball compared to other GA ‘26 prospects should not be held against him, it’s a positive for his ceiling as a hitter and overall. This caliber of athlete will fly past peers when seasoned vs quality arms. Prototype CF/SS frame w/ future top of scale bat speed as he physically matures should bring easy 6 raw power.
