Streets are underwater, thousands are left without electricity and water. Some areas are now only accessible by boat, and cars have been submerged. The disaster has been ongoing since March 28. One of the key reasons for such devastating consequences is widespread corruption in Dagestan. Officials allegedly embezzled billions meant for building drainage systems.

Even though it’s being filmed from hundreds of metres away, shrapnel from the explosion are raining down on the bystanders - visible by the reaction of these Kurdish men as well as audibly heard by the shrapnel hitting the ground and buildings. Even as only one building gets attacked - in a radius of a few hundred meters, the shrapnel turns into dangerous projectiles - causing damage to property, infrastructure and humans.

ALERT: Semi-truck smashes into an overpass, causing it to explode with debris and slide into a car parked along the side of the highway. The footage was recorded by a AAA Carting truck, and the truck can be seen flipping on its side after being too tall for the clearance. Pernell Harris, the truck driver from South Carolina, has been ticketed for having a vehicle that exceeded the maximum height of 13 feet 6 inches. Harris and the driver of the Toyota it slid into on the side of the highway both reported having no injuries.

The tin sheet crashed down first while the child remained airborne for a few moments before falling separately to the ground. He reportedly suffered fractures in both hands and legs and is currently admitted to the hospital.
