Matt, As long as you work for Ben Shapiro and the daily wire, it seems you misunderstand integrity.

Has the quality of your podcast declined, or has it always been this poor?

The absence of a narrated appearance in the Mark's original text does not negate the Gospel's powerful witness to the resurrection.

Can you please provide a citation for the claim that myths require centuries to develop?

Did he say no post resurrection appearance in Mark? Are they blind? "He is risen," and "He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you." see Mark 16:6-7

This man is dishonest. The myths about historical events like Jan 6 & 9/11 developed in a matter of minutes.

@RealMattFradd check out why Alex’s development hypothesis falls short here:

Mark mentioned resurrection but he left out the post resurrection appearance on purpose. This should be common knowledge

1 Corinthians 15 was written before Mark.

The episode of Alex O’Connor’s show where he has Dr. Pitre on is outstanding. You can tell how much they’re both enjoying the conversation

So wrong. Myths can spread within days not centuries e.g. the war of the worlds radio panic, Momo, Paul McCartney being dead, Caesar resurrecting, curse of the pharaohs etc Embarrassing.....

Brant Pitre is so good

Jesus is dead. None of this matters.

so instead of taking centuries, which implies natural development... 🤔 it only took decades? that sounds worse! that suggests intentional aggressive manipulation!😲

I love Alex, but he does seem to be backsliding. It sounds like he may have fallen in with certain postmodernist tiktok authorities on the bible. Iykyk.

O'Connor also presumes Mark came first. Ancient authors said Matthew was first. O'Connor's theory of myth development falls to pieces if we just go with the oldest testimony about which Gospel writer came first.

"The gospels are not mythological, they're supernatural." I like that.
