@bama_angel4life Don’t like the pipe cleaner drill bit. They don’t create a smooth bonding surface. Cut it out and replace. He didn’t clean the edges of pipe for smooth flow.

Why not cut it behind the hub and glue on a new coupling rather than waste the time using a RamBit to reuse the hub? I’d rather have a new fitting with a clean surface to use. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Unless I'm missing something that looks like a water closet (toilet) flange sticking through the floor. It is not necessary to install a trap like shown in the video. The toilet has an internal trap already.

Why didn’t he just cut the pipe back from the coupling? Seems like boring it out is a waste of time.

There is no reason to be so sloppy with the primer and glue. That is someone else’s house and another flooring contractor will have to scrape your dried glue-drops up off the floor. Faster doesn’t mean better!

I at least deburr my cuts.

I’m no expert but shouldn’t you use some sandpaper or something to smooth out those edges after cutting??

Good job fellow plumber. 99% of the world can’t climb a ladder safely or won’t climb one at all. We (the trades) do this daily with tools and materials in hand at heights 10+ or more above the floor. Respect your trade workers they earn it the hard way.
