I should have been more direct and saying that the q release system was not working. I have had plenty of issues with it on various motherboards.

You can just pull the GPU out. 🤦♂️

Yes it was not working on this motherboard I've had nothing but issues with that Q release system

Agreed, luckily my gigabyte z690 allows access with ( I use a chopstick) small object to release, saw that that board even blocks that simple small access but next time test my usage tool Terr, it's small enough to access most small areas

asrock x870E nova is quick and easy. Pull tab sits right below the ram sticks.

Lol the older brother has button feature why did they remove it

That 9070 XT cooler from Gigabyte is way too overkill.

Same

what feature are you thinking of specifically?

🔥

Uh use the other one for the card?!? Unless you’re running 2? But yes PITA for sure!!😂🤣😂

Lol. Good content.

A few months ago I read that the new revs no longer have this problem.

Since ram prices have been sky high, what do you think about getting a motherboard that supports CAMM2 instead?

i didn't expect that from such an expensive motherboard. it should have an easy release switch on the side

Curious why not use a nonconductive pin of some sort to just slide in there an trip it simular to tripping laptop safety clips holding the back on

You dont need to touch that the motherboard got Quick Release … for removing the gpu

My solution to that:

lol I have the apex and man it’s a painnnn

Next time, read the manual. That motherboard has Q-Release Slim which allows you to easily remove the GPU.

Yes it was not working on this motherboard I've had nothing but issues with that Q release system

Sorry off topic but I was trying to see your impressions of the Gigabyte 870I Aorus Pro Ice?? I want to build a SFF system but tryin for go with a proper ITX board😅

motherboards should offer much more than what they do considering how costly they've got in years

.

I like learning from you 💪😊

Doable, but annoying…

My ASUS X870-P has a lever to remove the GPU instead of that notch thing you gotta press 😝

It works very well on my gigabyte motherboard;)

It happens, hope you will not have other issues

I expect premium motherboards to be easier to deal with

Didn’t even see the switch that’s crazy! At least it comes out easy!

If you just buy any of the standard ifixit tool kits they generally come with what looks like a putty knife but it’s super useful to hit those release buttons.. that being said I feel your pain on this one. My z790 hero has the gpu pull release but even then it’s not great.

Give it to me... I won't complain 😂😂
