Very vulnerable. I applaud you. The only hesitation I have about more federal laws regarding abuse is that they can also be used AGAINST women by these same male abusers. The intentions may be good, but the outcomes can actually be worse. Would love to discuss VAWA with you some time.

This is a very fair point and I’ve seen that as well. Working with a victim now in that capacity. Her abuser using the law against her. Deeply eye opening and jaw dropping.

I’m so sad to hear about your abuse, and the issues you are having in the fallout. When I left an abusive marriage, I experienced very similar things (I lost 55 lbs among other things) I pray your new home becomes a haven for you and your children, and that you are all happy there.
