I really should check out Picard Season 3 at some point. I've just got a bad taste in my mouth from all of Star Trek from the past decade and a half. Also, while I hated Trip dying (he survived in supplemental material), Enterprise's finale was underrated. Thought it was awesome.

You know something has touched you on a profoundly deep level, where tears of joy and sadness are indistinguishable--and you don't deny yourself the few that happen. The only true ending which was missing from that compilation video: OTOY's unmatched "765874 – Unification". The truest goodbye to two of the greatest science fiction heroes in existence: Kirk and Spock. I wish there had been a way to include DeForest Kelley's Dr. Leonard 'Bones' McCoy as well.

@StarTrek ended with Enterprise in 2005. It’s been dead for a while now…

At the end of Undiscovered Country I was hoping they were going to have Star Trek: Excelsior series with Capt. Sulu. That would have been epic, and the setting of trying to navigate the new Federation/Klingon alliance offers so many compelling stories. Such a wasted opportunity.

I find it very fitting that the last scene we have of T'Pol is her backside.

alex kurtzman hated this, and its the only season of any series he was responsible for that people actually watched. what a pathatic man

Ive ignored Star Trek for most of my life (and im 43) save for a few random episodes of TNG, DS9, and a couple seasons of Voyager. I think its about time i try to watch all of the series.

The writing, the pathos, the performances, the sheer love of the show that oozes out of every frame. How much we have lost.

The Undiscovered Country end was outstanding. All the original cast, and a sweet sendoff that lets us imagine new adventures. Wonderful stuff.

While "Star Trek" doesn't mean to me what it does to you I remember where I was when I saw each other these "Farewells". It's an American Classic. It might come back someday - in a much better world after Hollywood & political tribalism has been defeated.

Aww good Trek. Every single one of these clips could have been a trailer for a new Trek that would have gotten me to watch. And they literally had nothing to do with outerspace

Kurtzman Trek (bar Star Trek: Picard perhaps) is almost universally considered non-canon. Don't be overdramatic. It'll live on.
