Multiple people have run the numbers, and the only things that work are swarms of marginally reusable impactor drones or guns on drones Your overmatch ratios need to be 10:1 on cost in your favor, not 100:1 against or it's a nonstarter Bullfrog will work great against terrestrial targets however, and Samsung's systems have been doing this job for decades on the DMZ Happy to help if you need it

@StevenSimoni @waltmac @cbsaustin Incorrect. Range and slew rate are limiters, shielding is trivial against EW attacks.

Although this is one approach, this unit has one problem why it won't survive on the battlefield it either will be overwhelmed by multiple drones attacking from multiple angels even flying as high as 20cm above the ground and high flying high precision bomber drones like vampires.

Your numbers are not correct (e.g. armed FPV drones are $1200 or more, and actual performance numbers aren't public) but sure: there is some number of concentrated attackers that'll overwhelm a given defender; that is well understood in military tactics

We're going to bring America from the status quo where an attack with 1 drone is unstoppable, to where the enemy requires a synchronized attack that takes effort to prepare and can be disrupted. The cost per kill is never the whole story, but it is vital to make a drone interception a real victory, not a Pyrrhic victory.

@waltmac @cbsaustin I’d say the system is currently too large and too costly for practical deployment. If you could reduce both the size and the price by about half, it would become a really valuable tool in combat.
