As always everyone is blind staring at the progress of LLMs for coding and chat But meanwhile the new SOTA video model Seedance 2.5 has been slowly rolling out and it's really quite exceptional It's made by ByteDance (TikTok) who of course have lots of training data With just a few reference pics, it can get quite close to how you look IRL and you can do quite professional video shots with just a prompt I'd say it's the first video model that's now at the level of image models with the level of character likeness, cracking that in image models also took about 3 years (2022-2025) Generating 15 seconds takes about 4 minutes I put it live now on Photo AI, you can use it under [ Make video ] from the sidebar with just a prompt and your model selected! So you don't need to take an AI photo first and then turn that into a video! Saves lots of time :D It's more expensive than but I kept the credits the same (30 for 1 video) It also works inside the new video editor and you can make changes in your video with [ Magic edit ] in both the main app and the video editor Also a message for my server guy Daniel Lockyer (it can do voice too and you can even submit a voice sample of yourself, but I didn't here)

There are a million feelings and thoughts from this journey, but nothing more than gratitude to all of our users and customers for building with us, my colleagues (both current and former) for making all of this possible, our investors, especially Mike Vernal, Elad Gil, Avichal Garg - Electric ϟ Capital, and Jessica Verrilli for their unwavering support and guidance, and all of our friends and family who put up with the late nights, canceled plans, and the general roller coaster that is startup life. To our customers and users who have been asking, here’s how we got here: The past several months have been some of the most interesting and intense of my life. It all started with the rise of Instagram Threads, which presented us with the opportunity to sell our domains. Around the same time, a handful of companies approached us, wondering if we would be open to an acquisition. When this happened in the past, we would politely decline. However, this time, things were different. We weren't that excited about the time it would take to invest in a rebrand, and with mind-warping technological advances now being a commodity, we were excited about joining a place where we could tinker at scale. Each company we chatted with was incredible. However, what ultimately led us to choose Shopify over others was their culture; two distinct things in particular: 1) Craft-obsessed. Their obsession with not just building the right thing, but also building it the right way is inspiring. Sacrifice shows priority, and hearing stories about some of the hard decisions they made to ensure that what they ship is robust, scalable, and trustworthy, even at the cost of short-term metric gains, really proved that their obsession with craft was much more than a feel-good slogan. Their discussions and decisions have me truly believing they're going to be around for 100 years. 2) For entrepreneurs, by entrepreneurs. Just about every product and engineering leader I met was an ex-founder who grinded for years to turn nothing into something. They all still had that air of resilience, obsession with the details at every part of the stack, and a compelling vision of the future for whatever they were working on. Threads leadership is also made up of ex-founders, so the entrepreneurial focus at Shopify made it clear that it would be the best environment for us to grow and thrive. We lived openly and proudly as Jews. In public. In our city. With joy. With confidence. With thousands of our neighbors cheering alongside us. There are moments lately when Jews are reminded, sometimes subtly, sometimes not, that we’re “supposed” to keep it down. Don’t be too visible. Don’t be too proud. Don’t ask for too much. Today was the opposite of that. Today was: we’re here. Today was: we belong. Today was: we’re proud. I looked around that arena and felt my chest tighten from emotion. That blue jersey with the Magen David. And we didn’t just have a fun night, we made history. This is the first time Jewish Heritage Game jerseys have been worn in a professional sports game. Think about that. In Tulsa. In 2026. With a packed arena. With our neighbors joining in. With Jewish pride celebrated. And what moved me most was this. It wasn’t only Jews wearing it. So many of our non-Jewish neighbors wore it too. If you’re Jewish, you know that’s not just “nice.” That’s deeply meaningful. The Magen David carries memory. It carries history. It carries everything our people have walked through. To see it worn proudly, by people who simply wanted to say, “We’re with you. You belong here,” was a kind of decency that restores your faith in people. That’s Tulsa. And it’s also America at its best. A country where you don’t have to erase yourself to belong, where identity isn’t a liability, where you can be fully who you are and still be fully part of the “we.” I’m proud of Jewish Tulsa. Proud of how our community showed up, joyful, confident, unafraid to celebrate who we are. And I’m proud of this city. Proud of the Tulsa Oilers organization for doing this with excellence and heart. Proud of Tulsa for showing up and making it real. Our identity is something we receive, carry, and hand to our kids stronger than we found it. Today that felt real and tangible. So yes, the game was incredible. But what I’ll remember is the feeling. Proud to be Jews. Proud to be Americans. Proud to be Tulsans. A huge thank you to Michael A. Sachs for the vision and heart that went into making this possible. Yasher Koach brother! And a heartfelt thank you to the Tulsa Oilers Hockey club for helping Jewish Tulsa celebrate this community and our city.

After praying the ‘Ishā prayer in the Ḥaram 🕋 & after leaving our Shaikh Dr. Waṣiyyul-lāh Abbās’s class in the Ṣaḥīḥ of Al-Imām Muslim, I went to grab something to eat. As I left the shop, I held the door for a man with a walking stick walking ever so slow and was quite clearly in agonising pain holding his back. The man then raised his head and said, “May Allāh guide you. Why didn’t you have ‘Ashā (dinner) with your wife?”. I took a look at him and recognised him instantly. “Shaikh Yaḥyā Al-Bakrī?!” I said in shock & surprise. He replied in the affirmative. I then kissed the Shaikh’s head & said, “May Allāh be good to you, my wife isn’t here within the Kingdom”. Shaikh then asked where I was from and I introduced myself & told him I was graduating from Kulliyat ash-Sharī’ah (Faculty/College of Sharī’ah) this term from UQU. Shaikh made du’ā for me and said, “We’ll see you tomorrow In-Shā-Allāh.” This encounter drew my attention that as men & as students of knowledge -or atleast as people trying to be-, we 𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐓 be the best of people to our womenfolk and in particular our wives. Āishāh (May Allāh be pleased with her) said that the Prophet ﷺ said, “The Best of you, is the best of you to his wives and I am the best of you to my wives.” [Recorded by at-Tirmidhī] … meaning the best a man could possibly be. Knowledge isn’t just about knowing masāil (religious issues) off the top of our heads and having good delivery when we wish to overcome our opponents, rather true Knowledge that benefits a person is that knowledge which sprouts out righteous action. From righteous actions is to be a loving caring man to our womenfolk and in particular our wives, spending time with them & filling that emotional vaccum she may have from you being away from her after having a long day 𝐈𝐅 that action is coupled with a righteous intention. Shaikhnā Yaḥyā will be conducting a series of Majālis in the Samā’ of the Muwaṭṭa’ of Al-Imām Mālik Ibn Anas Al-Aṣbaḥī in our blessed city of Makkah Al-Mukarramah over the weekend starting after Ṣalāt Al-Asr on Friday In-Shā-Allāh. There is only one reason to share truth. And no it has nothing to do with money- and everything to do about helping God move. Peace is the prize- a better world for everyone is the prize. We make SACRIFICES for things we want most in this world. Christ made the ultimate sacrifice If He can do that for us FREE of charge- we owe it to each other to work TOGETHER to make the world a better place- despite the toll and sacrifice. A level playing field- where we can all work hard and do our best to succeed- that is the payout. A better world for all We’re not here for just ourselves- otherwise the second commandment wouldn’t be like the first- love your neighbor as yourself. This world gets better the sooner we all wake up. Information is free- we collect and share it for free in hopes that it keeps spreading. Only working TOGETHER can we win. We are meant to move these messages for God so that humanity can wake up- this plan is designed that way- working together The Lord is ONE. We are bound as a family by Our Father in Heaven. We are apart of Him and He is apart of all of us. We are billions of little pieces of the Lords gift of life. We’ve been separated and pushed apart because it makes us weak. My home was a magical place. Only ashes remain. The outpouring of support from community has been monumental and every message, donation, gesture has truly been food for me these last few days. We’ve got a long road ahead of us. We evacuated with only the clothes on our backs so we truly have nothing left. My art, my jewelry, my clothing, my books, my photos - everything curated and collected in my material in my life is now gone, including the home we had poured everything into to buy in the first place. We are underinsured, it will be a battle. Sobering. Hard. Life-Changing. But… I want everyone to remember its beauty and optimism, the joy the disco cabin brought me and so many others who gathered here. At this exact time last year - Punks came together at my home as the sunset kissed the ocean in a sky of pink, sweet tunes drifting over us with tacos in hand. And perhaps there is also something poetic in this total loss, a silver lining I will find one day? This moment was framed to me as the beginning of a new “hero’s journey” and being a lover of Joseph Campbell - and that concept feels true. 🐦‍🔥 “We're in a freefall into future. We don't know where we're going. Things are changing so fast, and always when you're going through a long tunnel, anxiety comes along. And all you have to do to transform your hell into a paradise is to turn your fall into a voluntary act. It's a very interesting shift of perspective and that's all it is... joyful participation in the sorrows and everything changes.”
