Alright, here's my take on Code Conventions

Formatting is only a part of Code Convention. Not particularly important one imo.

This is a great take! Everyone can have their own convention when they write their own code, but when working with existing code, adapting to that code's existing convention is almost always best.

Most mature software eng of the industry, AI stands no chance

Consistency is the key to convention, and pattern is its best friend.

This is true only if you use Allman style.

Encountering a new convention is an opportunity to learn. Each have their own strengths and weaknesses and adopting them may provide you with insights you didn't previously consider. Stop seeing restrictions & start to see guard rails. You'll also make quicker design decisions.

For real, so many people waste a ton of time worrying about things that don't matter
