Asked Jaylen Brown if he feels like he’s been able to improve individually this season: “For sure. And I've been able to be in this in a role where I'd be able to kind of control things, and everybody's kind of playing off me. I've been in those roles seldom over the years, but this year, for an extended amount of time, I've been able to be in that position. And it's honestly, I feel like I still have a lot of room to grow. I feel like even now over the last couple of games, I've adjusted my game, and I'm still continuing to get better in my playmaking ability, seeing the floor, taking my time, all of that stuff is still continuing to improve, but it's honestly — it's my first opportunity in my career where I've been able to do this for an extended period of time. And obviously, regardless, people are going to have their critiques and their criticism, but it's just it's a completely different flow when people play off you or when you play off others. It’s two completely different things. From people watching the game, you just think, like, ‘just roll the ball out, and everything's supposed to work great. Players are all supposed to fit together.’ It doesn't always work like that. Sometimes you got to take a backseat, or sometimes you got to play more offball. So everything shifts. But this year, I've been able to play at my own pace, and I've been able to control my own destiny.”

I've joined Monad as Director of Marketing! I ultimately view Monad as a bet that performance and decentralization both matter. While other teams are willing to bet on performance alone, I've been pilled on the thesis that over a longer time horizon, decentralization will play a key role in crypto's use cases. The team has very ambitious goals and a key part of the strategy to achieve them will require stronger distribution. The core team has already nailed CT, so I've been brought in to focus on expanding our footprint elsewhere. We are going to aggressively ramp up our go to market efforts and distribution to make Monad and the apps built on top of it globally recognized and respected brand names. Not just within crypto circles but in the mainstream cultural zeitgeist. Decentralization does matter, but unfortunately it seems like something that has not really stuck outside of the crypto bubble. This will evolve over time, but I will be focused on presenting our brand and value props in a way that is more digestible and compelling to people today. For all the builders in the ecosystem, I'll be a resource for you as you navigate the stages of protocol development. LFG.

What is Monad, and what makes it different? “When I first met (Monad Co-Founder) Keone, the idea for Monad was something that I was sort of waiting for somebody to come along and tell me that they were going to do. Almost every single implementation that is EVM-compatible today is a fork of Geth. Why are they all forks of Geth? The answer is because it’s really scary to rebuild the EVM. If you have a bug, if you mess up… like it’s just a nightmare scenario, right? And you guys obviously know this because you guys spent the last three years building the EVM from the ground up. This weekend I explored making another game prototype. I grew up playing simulation games like Game Dev Studio and Dungeon Village, so I thought it would be fun to make an MMO dev studio game, where you are the developer building a fledgling MMO for players to play in. I got it to a point where you have. tech tree where you can earn XP and unlock some buildings, NPCs and mobs, enough for me to test the core game loop, but somehow I still feel like it's missing something. I might revisit this in the future, but it was fun being able to explore making a game in a genre I haven't really tried before.

They need something to complain about. I don't think it's that big of a deal, to be honest, the All-Star Game, All-Star Weekend. Just here to celebrate the game of basketball...They're coming to watch. People at home complaining about the game and the intensity of it. I don't think we'll ever get past that, but to see everybody still here, showing up, doing their jobs, pushing the game forward through this weekend, you go around the city, it's so much energy in the city, so many past greats...representing the game of basketball. I just think it's way bigger than that this weekend. We can talk about who plays harder...all that stuff don't matter. I just really feel like this is a great weekend to bring so many people together and help push the game forward"

Niko Medved on the unrest in Minnesota and if he’s addressed his team: I think we all just care so deeply about people and each other, and I think that’s always the message to these guys. All of it’s heartbreaking. Sometimes for us, you play a game, and you want to kind of get away for a second and focus on what you’re doing. All of it really just sucks. #Gophers

INTRODUCING PONZIMON: So this is a new twist on miner-ponzi-games with battle tested contracts. So new and improved gameplay, I have wanted to test a few new core mechanics and fix some of the issues I saw with Ponzi games. So issue one with any Ponzi game is the game theory correct thing to do is rush in, buy a lot of the tokens early, and get the best miners so you always have a big % of the emissions and then sell these as the token price goes up. But this makes the game less fun because 1. It’s a downward drag on token price early 2. It’s harder for newer players with smaller bank rolls to catch up. So I added a RNG element. In PonziMon, you pay the native token to open packs—->the tokens you pay are burned—-> you get a miner (PonziMon)—-> you place him and earn a % of the tokens emissions so you “mine” the token just like in BigCoin. There is also a leader board, that incentivizes people with further rewards so people. Also beefed up the ref-codes. So if you refer, you get 25% of what your buddy spends on opening packs. I think this should increase the sharring and viral nature of the game. Also the creatures are cute. 😊 Let’s run it back turbo.

I've said this in the past...The importance of having a character you love or your main character in a fighting game is huge especially if you are a casual player like me. Without a character you vibe with on the roster you will be less likely to play the game. I miss my main character so this past week I went back to get some games in on SFV. To all the Alex players out there especially the ones I still keep in touch with...Don't stop believing...because I never will. And shout outs to my guy Yipes...You know what time it is. AlexForSF6 🫡
