Alright....... This is Gears of War: E-Day using Hardware Unboxed's Optimized Settings with DLSS 4.5 Performance at 1440p on my RTX 4060 & Ryzen 7 5700x setup. This is basically the first boot of the game! Not much to comment here, the footage speaks for itself...

1440p on a 4060 why?

Gaming Optimized's profile picture
Gaming Optimized7 days ago

That's not the issue here believe me

InsertValue_'s profile picture
InsertValue_7 days ago

@nicz_90 It literally is. You cannot expect low tier card to run at 1440p. Thats literally the whole reason.

Lamarck's profile picture
Lamarck7 days ago

@GamingOptimiz @nicz_90 DLSS performance is running that game at under 720p. It's not the issue here at all, unless you're arguing a 4060 can't handle 720p gaming.

InsertValue_'s profile picture
InsertValue_7 days ago

@GamingOptimiz @nicz_90 Is not about rendering the game at said resolution FFS, its about the milliseconds it take for the tensor cores to upscale the game, and those cores on a low tier GPU are not poweful enoug to upscale at a high resolution like 1440p, which is literally twice the pixels. 🤡

Lamarck's profile picture
Lamarck7 days ago

@GamingOptimiz @nicz_90 The upscale cost is not that much just because it's a 4060. That GPU is only one generation old.

@GamingOptimiz @nicz_90 ITS A LOW TIER GPU RENDERING THE LATEST UNREAL 5 ENGINE. You people are delisionals.

Here is why it's shader compilation stuttering!

RTX 4060 on 1440 Even nvidia itself would not recommend this 2 years ago when this graphics card was released

Actively refusing to use DLSS and frame gen in 2026 with a card capable of doing so should honestly be cause to have your system confiscated from you lol. Not using these settings isn’t some “gotcha” decision, you look like a fucking moron.

What? Are you kidding me😂😂😂 When I use DLSS FG people complain that I am using FG. Here you are calling me names, because you are mad for no reason at all.

DLSS Performance (native 720p) Damn, and it’s not a GPU issue; the card is twiddling its thumbs at 78% usage, so there’s no GPU bottleneck (maybe on the CPU side, but that’s a stretch), and it’s not the VRAM either—it’s only using 6.8 GB out of 8. And man, the game looks dull.

It's a 4060 bro. You need to get a real card if you want to play new AAA games with good graphics.

5700x you're going to need frame gen that's a complete bottleneck

i'm sorry but this could very easily be just a RAM issue

It's not a RAM issue

This is my first run, I don't feel the same. The only one diff is my graphics card, its a old rdna2 running with unoficial fsr4.1 balanced, hub settings. Other parts are near the same, 16gb ddr4, nvme3 as storage. I'm using gamepass version, not steam.

4060 is a low end gpu whether u like it or not, i played on 1440p fsr balanced with high ray tracing modes and ultra basic settings and got 60-70fps on my ryzen 7 7700x and 6800xt pc. the optimization isn't bad. 4060 isn't a 1440p card btw.

Una 4060 no está enfocada más en 1080p al estar limitada en 8gb ?

It certainly is, that GPU usage drop and the stuttering is not something that should be normal though...

Amine's profile picture
Amine7 days ago

Does it also have issues with shader stutter? And no disrespect to HU, but claiming those settings are optimized is really something else, lol. Maybe they're optimized settings for high-end systems if you'd prefer not to use the cinematic equivalent settings.

The problem itself is the game logic, i don't know why the hell you make the game render Models and Items from 1000 clicks away (and i know it since you can test it in Horde, when anyone is using the Spot drone) This is kind of Monster Hunter Wilds level of unoptimized mess.

Same rig i think and he playing at dlss quality with medium and avg 60 fps try lowering the settings and forget HUB optimized , the game look good even on lower presets just make sure textures are higher
