Yet, to be a peacemaker is not to be weak, but to be strong in a way the world may not understand.

Matthew 5:3-12 contains the Eight Beatitudes, which are eight statements of Jesus beginning with "Blessed are..." which describe the characteristics of those truly blessed by God, such as the poor in spirit, sorrowful, meek, hungry for righteousness, generous, pure in heart, peacemakers, and persecuted for righteousness' sake, with heavenly and earthly promises as rewards, emphasizing that true happiness comes from a right relationship with God and living in the values of the Kingdom of Heaven.

As disciples of Christ, we are His ensign. We develop and display His attributes to honor, respect, and glorify Him. We can wave a variety of flags demonstrating Christlike behavior. Today I share four metaphorical flags—ensigns, banners—that might enhance you as you strive to follow the example of the Savior in your life. Consider each of them as a call to action: 1.Wave the ensign of peacemaker. “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God” (Matthew 5:9). 2.Carry the standard of understanding. “And with all thy getting get understanding” (Proverbs 4:7). 3.Raise the banner of the Restoration. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). a flag bearer of engagement. “When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God” (Mosiah 2:17). Friends, Today is Palm Sunday, the day our Lord Jesus Christ rode into Jerusalem, fulfilling the prophecy in Zechariah 9:9. May you feel the love, joy, and peace of God as you meditate on the Lord and all He has done for us, His children. Let us pray for our leaders, for the people of our country and around the world, that hearts would turn toward God. Pray that the evil in this world would be eradicated, and that the goodness and faithfulness of our God would shine brightly through our lives—so we may be a light in the darkness. And don’t forget to invite your friends and family to church! ✝️

My childhood memories of Easter are of my Mother in an Easter hat, extra long Mass followed by egg hunts, purple cellophane wrapped woven baskets, lamb for supper, and a surprise pet rabbit. As I grew into a Young Man, I came to understand Easter as the most and only important day in our lives. Without the Resurrection, we are all damned — now we have a chance at Eternal life with God in Heaven. As a Man, I now realize how much I owe my parents for instilling their Faith in me, in part by making our holidays so fun and meaningful. The most important inheritance I can leave my children is their faith in God. I am blessed to have my wife Mary Helen as we work as one in this mission. My Mother died of Breast Cancer in 2004 and my Father of Parkinson’s in 2021. Although Mom never met our kids, I think of her every day and work to live up to the model they set. My in-laws are my parents now, and they provide a wonderful example for our children. The family is the basis of our lives and the foundation of our country. I will be a U.S. Senator who puts family first, and will work for us to live lives where Americans can come together and form families, without regard to societal economic pressures. I will work to end the war on decency and protect our children from conception to natural death, without exception. May the Peace of Christ fill your hearts today, and be with you always. On behalf of the Dans family, I pray the Deepest of God’s Blessings be with you and your family. Happy Easter
