We live in a day when many people are more angry with those who boldly call out the most abominable wickedness (perhaps with non-eloquent words) than they are with moder-day Gadianton Robbers. There are many who "strain at a gnat" (a mean post), "yet swallow a camel" (rampant & blatant daycare fraud, human tr*fficking, etc.). An inappropriate hyper-focus on "words" and a neglect of actual actions and results (judge them by their fruits) can create a ripe environment for those who are "expert in many words" and the use of flattery to deceive many, even the very elect, with eloquent words. The true peacemakers in the beautiful Book of Mormon would likely be "socially sacrificed" on the virtue-signalling alter of non-confrontation "peacemaking" just Abinadi was litterly sacrificed. What did the wicked priests of King Noah say to Abinadi when he boldly called out their wickedness?
