“Abortion is murder” doesn’t establish an argument; it assumes the conclusion. Murder is not simply “a human organism died.” It is an unjustified killing of a person. So the actual argument has to establish moral personhood, competing rights, bodily autonomy, development, sentience, and the circumstances involved—not merely apply the word murder and declare the debate finished. And there is a serious consistency problem here. The Bible has god drowning virtually all humanity in the Flood, killing Egypt’s firstborn, and explicitly ordering the deaths of infants. Christians generally respond that these killings were morally justified because god had sufficient authority or reason. But once you make that defence, you have already conceded the important point: the death of innocent human biological life is not automatically “murder.” Context, moral status, rights, authority and justification matter. Those same questions therefore cannot simply be skipped when discussing abortion. There is another problem I rarely see addressed. For most of human history, roughly half of all children died before reaching the end of puberty. Think about that. If god places such absolute value on every child, why was that the normal condition of the world until humans developed sanitation, vaccines, antibiotics, neonatal medicine and modern public health? Human beings took a world in which losing children was routine and made childhood survival overwhelmingly normal. You can invoke the Fall to explain suffering, but that only moves the question back one step: why would an omniscient, omnipotent creator choose a biological system in which children themselves suffer and die in enormous numbers because of it? So no, “always has been, always will be” isn’t an argument. These are precisely the moral questions the slogan avoids.

Notice how he's not actually refuting any of the argument, just ignoring them or throwing them away

Fact: abortion is murder & those that engage in it should be charged with murder.

So is genocide.

Baby that could have been aborted 10 minutes earlier. But only in Democrat states.

Opinions aren't facts. You're giving an opinion.

Did that say violinists? 😂

Difference between murder and abortion is that fetus is not self-sustainable. It's taking away nutrients from the woman against her will, and only way to stop this exploitation, is to remove it. You don't have to kill it, taking it out is enough for it to die on its own.

Bro, mocking a bald man and being killed for it, is murder.

No.

Post something like this and you will get some very pro murder people coming out very quickly to defend it...

Only around 50% of fertilised eggs develop into an established pregnancy, and around 15% of those naturally abort. If you honestly believe abortion is murder, you must also accept that your God murders around 130 million babies before they are born every year; about 4 per second

Is the death penalty murder IYHO, D2J?

Amazing (if completely unintended because you're a moron) representation of "pro-life" people willfully ignoring actual arguments and being needlessly violent to those who haven't raised a finger against them.

I love how this represents that instead of debating with logical arguments, anti abortionists instead attack the people making the claims :)

Yeah...I slowed it down to make sure. What about tubaists?

If you were driving drunk and got into an accident, the other car's passengers are mostly ok, but you're in critical condition, should they be required to donate blood given you have a rare blood type that they share? Can you justify legal autonomy amidst medical risks?

You guys got tricked into thinking the 1% of abortion cases happen all the time, meanwhile, the 99% say otherwise. Your logic is flawed because you support religious laws over human freedom.

What do violinists have to do with this

What about violinists??? 😂

😂 "What about violinists?"

Abortion is not murder

Is killing and abusing non-human animals, like your pets, wrong? If yes, then we know killing someone isn't morally wrong FOR THE REASON of them being human; it has to be another reason. Is it wrong to kill bacteria and plants? If no, then not every living thing is valuable.

Subhuman parasite are real and society must get rid of thek

Here's the thing though right, in the case of rape, that child is not yours. You shouldn't be forced to take care of a child that isn't yours. Now sure the other arguments are pretty decent, and I agree. Rape and excessive health risk to the mother is a different thing though.

A lot of the replies invoke this:

You Christians with your wacky fantasies. The abortion rate has increased since the Dobbs decision.

👊 ✊️ 🤛 🤜 👊 ✊️ 🤛 🤜 👊

What are you talking about w3ith this fragment?

You are wrong. Check a dictionary.

Then why did god kill pregnant women.
