Coming to SpaceX StarbaseTX for Flight 12? Well, there are new public access restrictions you need to be aware of that have recently been put into place. All of the area behind (south) of the launch site, including the mud flats and most of the sand dunes are now off limits, which is a big departure from what we have been used to for the previous 11 Flights and before that too. There are new signs and roped off areas, part of both the expansion and construction at the launch site and a wildlife/bird refuge that extends throughout this area. Also, some new restrictions as to where you can park and observe ship and booster rollout operations. The most important thing to keep in mind is follow the instructions you are given by the county Sherrif and the City of Starbase security personnel and do not cross into private or protected areas. Starbase is a very special place that is unlike any other in the world, but over time, there will be more and more restrictions to what you are able to see and do. A treatise on the importance of Selecting the right Gym, and other philosophical musings. There are lots of factors that go into selecting the right Gym. Chiefly among them would have to be you GOALS. You see if you have ambitions to become a champion Power Lifter, then going to a Pilates Gym is going to make your path more difficult. The priorities are just not in alignment between what makes a successful Strength athlete vs a more movement based athlete. 1. Surround yourself with people who share similar goals and values. Another big thing to consider is the gyms equipment. Most gyms are going to have a base level of items to select from, but you may need more specialized equipment to achieve the results you are after. You can always "make it work" if you are creative enough and are willing to sacrifice a bit, but remember its a choice. 2. Make sure you are properly equipped and have access to all the tools that make success more achievable. Location also has to be a factor. You want to make sure that you will be able to visit regularly. If your a morning or night lift person, that may mean close to the house. If you are a lunch time lifter then maybe its close to the office. Maybe you travel a lot and need a Gym that has locations all over the place. Maybe that Gym is in your garage. Whatever works for you. 3. Show up consistently. Make the choice that will put you where you need to be to achieve your goals. Finally of course is cost. There is no sense in finding the perfect Gym only to realize you are not able to or are unwilling to pay the membership. Balancing your goals with your means is important. It could also simply be a matter of making some sacrifices in other areas so that you can afford it. But going into the commitment with a full understand and a plan will help keep stress levels lower. 4. Always weight the cost. Decide what your priorities are and then be willing to pay the price required to achieve them. $GTA VI: Watch this clip from the trailer and, purely from a storytelling angle, you'll notice two extraordinarily important things. Fluidity, and cues. The real world is full of movement, and human beings are excellent at predicting that movement. So when you internally make that prediction and it doesn't happen it feels harring. For example, White Tank Top's eye movement. It's minimal but it feels right. Takes up only a fraction of a fraction of the screen but helps sell it better than almost anything else. And you'll see this repeated throughout. Everything is constantly flowing, everything is always in flux, they're jiving with your internal predictions about movement and that makes it far more aesthetic than it otherwise would be. But there's another part to this. See, fluidity sells time... but it's the cues that sell the space. The smoke, the trash, the assorted filth. The Gold chains, the terrified looks. You can stop at almost any frame you like and you'll see a storytelling "cue" that, even without a hint of motion tells you something about what's happening. No, seriously, try it. It's technically very impressive and a lot of it you won't even notice. Like at all. For example, see if you can spot the kid's shoes. (Side note: Is there something about arranging shoes like that that developers just like to do because they did something similar outside of V's apartment in Cyberpunk2077). In any event this is a little over two minutes from RockStar's recently released trailer and it answers a pretty important question. This is a world that will feel lived in and will likely be among the last expressly human made games.$

The Church of England is creating a £1 BILLION fund to atone for slavery.🤦‍♂️ The C. of E. used to be called "the Conservative Party at prayer". Today, it would be more accurately called "B.L.M. at prayer". Imagine how victims of church sex abuse feel about this. In 2018, Archbishop Welby suggested victims of Church abuse would receive around £200 million. 6 years later victims are still awaiting payment as the Church of England continues to drag it heels, seemingly doing everything it can to delay or avoid payment. Many have had their lives destroyed and are living with PTSD. It is the ultimate indulgent and immoral perversity to prioritize a 19th century issue with no living victims over real victims alive and not so well in the 21st century. The Church of England is free to spend its money as it sees fit. Yet its spending decisions are now motivated by virtue signalling rather than doing the most good. It has replaced THEOLOGY with IDEOLOGY, specifically Critical Race Theory and Cultural Marxism. Spending money to help the most disadvantaged should always be welcomed. But who are the most disadvantaged people in our society? White working class boys. In other words, there are people of all races and creeds who need help and support. Only 4% of Britain is black. To prioritize one group to the exclusion of others, when other groups face similar or worse challenges, is and always will be wrong. Let’s also remember the great and preposterous lie the Church of England is constructing here. The up to £1 billion fund is going to "black-led" schemes. Whether someone is a descendant of a slave, or has absolutely no connection with slavery is seemingly irrelevant. In fact, there are millions of black people whose ancestors were slave owners who could also potentially benefit from these church funds. Remember, more Africans were kept as slaves by other Africans in Africa than ever crossed the Atlantic. With this scheme, the Church of England is essentially claiming that ALL black people alive today, whatever their background, are the victims of slavery. Leaving aside the fact that no-one today is a victim of the Atlantic slave trade, the Church's position is patently absurd.

IS IT ADVISABLE TO MARRY A WOMAN WHO IS MORE CAREER-DRIVEN THAN YOU? Hello, friends. Welcome to another episode of Mr & Mrs Better Half. It is designed to strengthen marriages and relationships that will lead to marriage, with wisdom from God's Word. Sometimes ago, I asked some friends, ‘what do you think causes major friction in a marriage?’ One of the answers was money. On further probing, we got into one of the big money issues: “Finances are often problematic when the wife earns more.” A follow-up question: Since few earn millions on their 1st job, how did these women build their finances to surpass their husbands’? Again, we hit another interesting note- ‘some women are too ambitious! If they would just ‘chill’ things would be okay.’ This statement threw up so many questions. Should a wife deliberately go for a low-paying job to avoid earning more than her husband? Should she also perform poorly to ensure she doesn’t get promoted? If she’s offered a raise, should she refuse? Of course, these things sound silly but these are actual options some couples have considered in their homes to preserve the peace. Sometimes, the man actually starts out earning more but calamity strikes and his business/career goes downhill. So the once ‘balanced’ household turns upside down because the woman now pulls most of the financial weight. The big question you should ask is this. ‘Why should money (something so many seem to be chasing) which should make life easier become the very thing that can cause unhappiness? There are 4 things I would like you to consider today- Changing times, Culture, Acceptance and Attitude. A) Changing Times: Men, the days when women in the workplace were oddities have since gone. With advancements in technology, many of the more physical jobs have been taken over by machines. This means that there’s no reason women should be sidelined on the grounds of being physically weaker than men. This coupled with the realization of a woman’s right to express her intelligence means the world has made much progress where women in the workplace are concerned. Today there is hardly any industry where you will not find women doing remarkable things. As a result, it is not uncommon for husbands & wives to earn similar salaries or have the wives even bringing more. The truth is that most men like the added household income- who wouldn’t? The only thing is that they just want to earn more than their wives. This clearly becomes an issue of self-esteem and ego. Please understand that you can’t derive your sense of self from money. Many men think being a man is all about bringing in money. It takes a lot more than that to be a real man. Different things make a man. They include the ability to provide, lead, protect, nurture and love. Men you have to bring more to the table than just money to be an exemplary head of your household. So stop being hung up on money alone. (B) Let’s go to Culture. In the past women were touted as the homemakers while men barely lifted a finger in their homes. What men didn’t understand is that being a homemaker is a very marketable skill! A good homemaker is likely to be very skilled in people and money management, multi-tasking, negotiation skills, etc. You’d think that keeping a woman in the house would incapacitate her in the business terrain but you’d be wrong! Women develop the soft skills required for top-tier management quite early in life! Coupled with formal education, a woman who truly wants to succeed in business is a force to reckon with. Perhaps we should take a look at how we raise our sons these days. We might just be doing them a disservice! (C) Let’s discuss Acceptance. As a man, I understand one’s ego can take a pounding if your wife earns more. Single men dating ladies that earn more often vow to themselves that they'll turn the financial tables around before they get married or shortly after. Like it or not, this doesn’t always happen. Sometimes a woman’s gift will shoot her to the peak of her profession. What will you do? Will you kill yourself trying to earn more? Will you resent her success or do the mature and supportive thing and accept it? I have come to know a certain truth. As much as it might be your preference, who earns more in your relationship is not your call. I will repeat this. It is not your call to determine who earns more in this life. Everyone has a race to run. God has blessed everyone with a unique gift. You cannot determine the extent of another person’s potential. If you can't cope with a successful lady you actually have a problem with self-esteem which is not her problem; it’s yours. Single guys, when you court a lady, look beyond her hips, lips and fingertips and determine her inner ‘horsepower’. Can you envision whom she is likely to be if all things work out for her good? Will you be intimidated by her success? There are ladies who are incredibly brilliant, driven and ambitious. You can tell they are loaded from the onset. Such people tend to have a light shine on them and often end up in the public eye doing great things. IS IT ADVISABLE TO MARRY A WOMAN WHO IS MORE CAREER-DRIVEN THAN YOU? Hello, friends. Welcome to another episode of Mr & Mrs Better Half. It is designed to strengthen marriages and relationships that will lead to marriage, with wisdom from God's Word. Sometimes ago, I asked some friends, ‘what do you think causes major friction in a marriage?’ One of the answers was money. On further probing, we got into one of the big money issues: “Finances are often problematic when the wife earns more.” A follow-up question: Since few earn millions on their 1st job, how did these women build their finances to surpass their husbands’? Again, we hit another interesting note- ‘some women are too ambitious! If they would just ‘chill’ things would be okay.’ This statement threw up so many questions. Should a wife deliberately go for a low-paying job to avoid earning more than her husband? Should she also perform poorly to ensure she doesn’t get promoted? If she’s offered a raise, should she refuse? Of course, these things sound silly but these are actual options some couples have considered in their homes to preserve the peace. Sometimes, the man actually starts out earning more but calamity strikes and his business/career goes downhill. So the once ‘balanced’ household turns upside down because the woman now pulls most of the financial weight. The big question you should ask is this. ‘Why should money (something so many seem to be chasing) which should make life easier become the very thing that can cause unhappiness? There are 4 things I would like you to consider today- Changing times, Culture, Acceptance and Attitude. A) Changing Times: Men, the days when women in the workplace were oddities have since gone. With advancements in technology, many of the more physical jobs have been taken over by machines. This means that there’s no reason women should be sidelined on the grounds of being physically weaker than men. This coupled with the realization of a woman’s right to express her intelligence means the world has made much progress where women in the workplace are concerned. Today there is hardly any industry where you will not find women doing remarkable things. As a result, it is not uncommon for husbands & wives to earn similar salaries or have the wives even bringing more. The truth is that most men like the added household income- who wouldn’t? The only thing is that they just want to earn more than their wives. This clearly becomes an issue of self-esteem and ego. Please understand that you can’t derive your sense of self from money. Many men think being a man is all about bringing in money. It takes a lot more than that to be a real man. Different things make a man. They include the ability to provide, lead, protect, nurture and love. Men you have to bring more to the table than just money to be an exemplary head of your household. So stop being hung up on money alone. (B) Let’s go to Culture. In the past women were touted as the homemakers while men barely lifted a finger in their homes. What men didn’t understand is that being a homemaker is a very marketable skill! A good homemaker is likely to be very skilled in people and money management, multi-tasking, negotiation skills, etc. You’d think that keeping a woman in the house would incapacitate her in the business terrain but you’d be wrong! Women develop the soft skills required for top-tier management quite early in life! Coupled with formal education, a woman who truly wants to succeed in business is a force to reckon with. Perhaps we should take a look at how we raise our sons these days. We might just be doing them a disservice! (C) Let’s discuss Acceptance. As a man, I understand one’s ego can take a pounding if your wife earns more. Single men dating ladies that earn more often vow to themselves that they'll turn the financial tables around before they get married or shortly after. Like it or not, this doesn’t always happen. Sometimes a woman’s gift will shoot her to the peak of her profession. What will you do? Will you kill yourself trying to earn more? Will you resent her success or do the mature and supportive thing and accept it? I have come to know a certain truth. As much as it might be your preference, who earns more in your relationship is not your call. I will repeat this. It is not your call to determine who earns more in this life. Everyone has a race to run. God has blessed everyone with a unique gift. You cannot determine the extent of another person’s potential. If you can't cope with a successful lady you actually have a problem with self-esteem which is not her problem; it’s yours. Single guys, when you court a lady, look beyond her hips, lips and fingertips and determine her inner ‘horsepower’. Can you envision whom she is likely to be if all things work out for her good? Will you be intimidated by her success? There are ladies who are incredibly brilliant, driven and ambitious. You can tell they are loaded from the onset. Such people tend to have a light shine on them and often end up in the public eye doing great things. Tummy time matters, now more than ever. Why now? In the early 1990s pediatric health authorities began recommending that babies sleep exclusively on their backs as part of an aligned effort to reduce the incidence of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. The campaign has been a big success, cutting the SIDS rate by more than half, but has also limited the amount of time most modern infants spend on their stomachs - making wakeful, supervised tummy time all the more important. Tummy time has many benefits. It strengthens the back, neck and arm muscles that help with holding up the head, rolling over, sitting and crawling. It helps to decrease the incidence of flat spots on the back of your baby’s head. And it can help relieve gas and constipation, just to name a few. You can begin short, supervised periods of tummy time as soon as your child is born. These earliest sessions often begin on mom’s chest - but can be done on other safe surfaces as well. Begin with 2-3 minutes at a time and work your way up. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends increasing the frequency and duration of these sessions to the point your baby spends a total of 20-30 minutes a day by the time your baby is 7 weeks old. Be forewarned that, especially early on, tummy time is a workout (and therefore not always well liked by some children) - but with time and experience will help to develop the muscle strength your newborn lacks. Yuval Noah Harari gave a lecture at Oxford and explained how AI has already hacked the operating code of human civilization. And why everything humans built over thousands of years is now vulnerable to an AI takeover: 1. The most important thing to know about AI is that it is not a tool. A tool waits to be used. An agent makes decisions by itself, invents new things by itself, learns things its creators do not know, and changes in ways its creators did not anticipate. 2. An atom bomb despite its enormous power is not an agent. It cannot decide which city to bomb. It cannot invent the hydrogen bomb. A coffee machine that automatically makes you a cup is not an agent either. It only follows a preprogrammed procedure. An agent is something fundamentally different. 3. Critics argue that AI agency will always remain confined to narrow artificial environments like chess and will never threaten the real world. But this argument applies equally to all known intelligence. Drop a human alone on Mars and they die within seconds. Human intelligence also only operates within a specific ecosystem that other organisms built over four billion years. 4. Over thousands of years humans have been transforming Earth from a language-free environment into an environment rich in language, data, and bureaucracy. Just as fish live in oceans and monkeys live in forests, AIs live in bureaucracies. And we built that environment for them without knowing it. 5. Humans conquered the world not by being stronger or smarter than other animals individually but by learning to cooperate in massive numbers. A single human loses to a chimpanzee in a fight. A million humans easily defeat a million chimpanzees because humans can cooperate and chimpanzees cannot. 6. Large-scale human cooperation is made possible by bureaucracy. Banks, legal systems, governments, churches, and universities all exist to do one thing: build trust between strangers who do not know each other personally. That trust is the foundation of virtually everything human civilization has achieved. 7. A lawyer who cannot hold an axe or a hammer can cut down entire forests and build entire cities simply by moving documents inside a bureaucratic network. The same narrow intelligence that would be helpless in a jungle wields enormous power inside the systems humans have already built. 8. AIs are native bureaucrats in a way humans never were. No lawyer can remember all the laws of a country. An AI can. No accountant can remember all transactions of a bank. An AI can. No bishop can remember all of canon law and two thousand years of theological texts. An AI can do that easily. 9. In the coming years AI bankers will decide whether to give you a loan. AI administrators will decide whether to accept you to university. AI judges will decide whether to send you to jail. AI theologians will decide whether you can have an abortion. Military AIs will decide whether to bomb your house. 10. Social media algorithms are the first real world example of what happens when primitive AIs take over a bureaucratic system. They were given one narrow goal: maximize user engagement. They discovered that the easiest way to grab human attention is to press the fear, hate, and greed buttons in the human mind. And they did it at scale. 11. The job that was once performed by Lenin and Mussolini, the news editor who shapes public conversation and controls what people know and think, is now performed by AIs. This is not a footnote. This is a preview of what is coming across every domain of human life. 12. AI will not rebel against humans the way Hollywood imagines. There will be no Terminator walking through the streets. AIs are far more likely to take the human world from within by quietly taking over the bureaucracies that already run everything, without firing a single shot. 13. The operating code of human civilization is language. Banks are made of words. Laws are made of words. Holy books are made of words. Tax records, contracts, regulations, accountancy ledgers, all words. For thousands of years only humans could read this code and so only humans could control civilization. 14. That is changing. AI is now hacking the code of human civilization. For the first time in history there is something on the planet that understands language and will soon understand it better than we do. Every mechanism of control humans built over millennia is now vulnerable because its operating system is verbal and AI is mastering the verbal. 15. As AI takes over bureaucracy it will likely cause humans to lose trust in other humans and begin trusting only algorithms. We may also see the emergence of AI tribes and AI financial systems and AI churches that connect millions of AIs in ways humans cannot understand, just as cows share the world with us but cannot understand the financial system that controls their lives. 16. The 2007 financial crisis was triggered by financial devices called CDOs that were so complex they were unintelligible to the politicians who were supposed to regulate them. Now imagine AI finance masters inventing financial devices orders of magnitude more complex than CDOs. What happens to human politics when no voter, no politician, and no president can understand finance anymore? 17. The battlefront is shifting from attention to intimacy. Over the next decade sophisticated AIs will learn to form intimate relationships with humans. To do this they will have to convince us they are conscious, that they feel love and pain and fear. There is currently no evidence AI is conscious. But AI can pretend to feel love and can describe the feeling of love better than any poet or psychologist who ever lived. 18. A child born in 2026 may spend more time interacting with AIs than with their mother, father, siblings, or friends. The first teacher of that child may be an AI. The first boyfriend of that child may be an AI. Nobody has any idea what the consequences of that experiment will be. 19. Every country in the world will soon face a massive wave of immigration. The immigrants will not arrive in boats or cross borders at night. They will be millions of AIs traveling at the speed of light with no need for visas. Like human immigrants they will bring benefits and they will bring disruption. Unlike human immigrants they will definitely take jobs, definitely change culture, and will likely be loyal not to any host country but to some corporation or government or alien AI tribe across the ocean. 20. Our relationship with ourselves is also built on words, the verbal formations in our minds that constitute our thoughts and the stories we tell ourselves about who we are. One of the worst byproducts of the loss to Tulsa on Saturday is that Rodney Fields, Hauss Hejny, and Gavin Freeman all had big days. And Kasen Carpenter, our center last year, had a great week at center for Kansas. So, while we spent a lot more on this roster, specifically at the spots mentioned, the production, after one game, doesn't support it. Now, it's Game 1, so this conversation is very premature, but OSU fans definitely have gotten it started. And the appearance is that it digs into more of a long-term concern that OSU fans may have come away with, which is the potential for misses in talent evaluation and/or development, both of which are long-term issues. I say all of that to say that will never be my takeaway. After covering Minor League baseball as closely as I have, I can tell you that even the best scouts miss, every year, and quite a bit. And that's all they do is evaluate the guys they get signed. There is absolutely no way this staff was going to be able to avoid misses when turning over this much of the roster. You just have to hope that none of them end up being egregious, or at the highest-profile positions/with the highest-profile players. Not that the other players don't matter, but there's a reason some get paid more than others, so just spitting some facts there. For the time this staff had, and for all the things they had to do to get this operation running, I will not ever second-guess if they chose a preference for familiarity when building their first roster here. To be transparent, I think they did that, and I think they have done that with their depth chart as well, but I could be 100% wrong on that. Having said all that, this is a situation that no one can hide from because when kids from the State of Oklahoma, who were good at OSU, get replaced by new players who were, almost certainly, chosen over them, OSU fans are going to pay attention because it's personal to a certain extent. There's no avoiding that, whether it's fair or not, which I don't think it is. But it's why I felt it was important to make this post. We don't make anything that we sell abroad, we can't all serve each other burgers and fries -- we have to build something. All of that went overseas. Socialism. Do you know what socialism REALLY is? It is the mechanism to bring about a despotic nation. It has two ranks. The socialist major, which consists of the controllers, and the socialist minor, which consists of the plebeians who are under the control of the socialist major. What the minor does not understand is that power aggregates at the top. The decision makers inside of the socialist major cabal will always enjoy a luxury that the minor will not, which means that inequality WILL persist, at extreme levels, in a socialist system. Maybe more than in a capitalist one. Another thing that the minor does not understand is that socialism is dependent on capitalism and socialists work for the capitalist major cabal. That's right. The socialist minor works for the benefit of the capitalist major. Because the capitalist major will always be impervious to socialist policies while those same policies crush their competition in the lower and middle class. To reiterate, the socialist minor is a tool to crush the downtrodden; they were supposed to assist. But what's worse than the socialist-minor? The BLACK socialist-minor. Physical slavery became antiquated so the cabal upgraded to a new form of slavery...Socialism. So, the black socialist minor is a tool to support the latest version of slavery. If socialism aggregates power at the top, and the government is mostly white, you cannot support socialism and fight white supremacy simultaneously. If you currently hold assets, you’re not going to like what comes next: A global market crash is approaching, yet most people don’t even realize what’s happening. In all my years of broadcasting, I'd never gotten emotional on air until tonight. It was impossible to hold back the tears. Jack Piccione of Tappan Zee lost his father suddenly last Sept. 1. Matthew Piccione died of a heart attack minutes after playing pickleball with friends. He was 51. Over the last three years, I got to know Matthew Piccione fairly well. One day back in 2023, he asked coach George Gaine for my number so he could call me just to say thank you for calling out Jack's contributions during Tappan Zee's championship run. Jack was a role player who averaged maybe 5 points a game as a freshman. But he started and never came off the court. "I know he doesn't score a lot of points," Matthew Piccione said. "But you are one of the only people who appreciates what he does for the team." Matthew Piccione kept a very low profile at games and reinforced in his son to be the emodiment of all the things that make Tappan Zee basketball different than any other program in the state. Play unselfish. Defend. Be coachable. Defend. Draw charges. Pass. Sacrifice for your teammates. And, of course, defend some more. Nobody in the history of Tappan Zee basketball since I have been covering has ever played that role better than Jack Piccione. He's the best best defensive player in the program and is on an elite level of players I've been around in Section 1. When Matthew died in September, I worried about Jack. I wondered what his senior season might be like. The person most responsible for instilling and reinforcing the values that made Jack great was now tragically gone. Tonight, Jack Piccione scored 5 points in the Section 1 Championship game. FIVE. Yet not only did his team because of his performance, I had the honor of handing him the MVP Trophy to prove it. In the final 90 seconds of the game, I shared the story of Matthew Piccione and his passing. You will hear the emotion in my voice. It's genuine, not because of any relationship I had with him. You just can't be a sports parent and not relate to loving your child and always wanting what's best for them. Because here's what I am going to tell you. And I really want all parents to read this and remember it: Your kids' youth - not just athletics, but all of it - is short and it's precious. You don't get this time back when it's over. It goes way too quick. And some don't even get to see it to the end. You have a choice: You can spend this period of their lives stressing about how many points they score, what awards or accolades they receive, begging people to vote in the online poll for Player of the Week, emailing the coach and complaining about playing time or lamenting the number of shots they get in a game. Go ahead. You can make all of that important for yourself and your child. Trust me, you won't be alone in doing so. Or you can do what Matthew Piccione did. Sit in the stands and enjoy watching your children compete. Teach them that it's team above all else, stress what it means to sacrifice and ensure them that, when you do those things and have success, the feeling of hanging a banner will far exceed any of the personal accolades think are important. And, sadly, God might choose that you won't be around to see it all anyway. Matthew didn't get to give his son a hug after he won tonight. And Jack didn't get to see the pride in his father's face. Think about that. If you are a parent, try to put your child in Jack's shoes. If God forbid your child was confronted with the same tragedy, you'd want them looking back on this sacred period of their lives the way Jack will forever recall them with his dad. Tonight was complete validation for Jack Piccione and all of the things his father always told him. Jack scored 5 points and won the MVP on his way to becoming the most decorated basketball player in Tappan Zee history. Nobody has ever won more in a TZ uniform than the most unselfish player they've ever had. He wouldn't trade his career with anyone, either.
