@Uber My schedule was just tight today and it’s how it worked out. I’m 100% nor denying that when one cuts it close the likelihood of something going wrong goes up considerably, is it reasonable for an uber driver to drive to a gas station and fuel up during your trip to the airport??

No. You are not wrong. It's his responsibility to gas his car up before either starting his shift or picking up a fare. That's number 1. He also is supposed to use Uber navigation as it is supposed to provide the quickest route. I had a driver take a "shortcut" to Newark airport and we just sat on McCarter Highway. Whether you had a time crunch or not you should have a prepared driver.

And then he makes no effort to speak English, which makes one think he has been in the U.S. too short a time to be working legally.
