For those who are so confident that UGC Act will not be misused. Meet David Jatav from Aligarh in UP, who claims to be a leader of Bhim Army and who posts abusive videos full of casteist slurs on Facebook and Instagram on a daily basis. A Law student named Mayur Garg gave a complaint against him to the local police and in return David attacked him with his goons, assaulted him, looted his gold chain and then made a video of the assault and proudly posted it on his Instagram handle. When Mayur called the ALIGARH POLICE , they detained Mayur himself and booked him for breach of peace under CrPC 107/151. An FIR was lodged later after he met senior police officers but needless to say that even after lodging the FIR Police did not take any action against these Goons. Majority of these goons just got a CrPC 41 notice as a formality. Now, reverse the caste and imagine the National level Vidhwa Vilap on such incident.

Finance apps that ask for full access to contacts, messages, photos, etc. are a red flag, especially if it's a loan app. A lot of these lending apps are digital avatars of predatory moneylenders (Sudakhor in Hindi). The number of people getting fleeced by shady and illegal loan apps has gone up significantly. Many individuals caught up in the web of these apps frequently resort to drastic actions, such as suicide. For every illegal loan app that's banned, two new ones pop-up. It's become a game of whack-a-mole. What makes these apps disgusting is the fact that many of them deduct as much as 10% upfront. Then there's the fact that interest rates range from 50% to 100%, or even 200%+. It's impossible for people who borrow on these apps to repay with such usurious terms. But considering people who borrow on these apps are desperate, they don't notice the fine print. Traditional loan sharks resort to physical threats to recover money. These loan apps harass people by calling all their contacts and sharing private photos and lewd pictures that are morphed. I have always wondered: What if someone uses a new SIM and phone with no contacts, photos, or messages? What would these apps do to recover money if someone gamed this system? This is the friend who came along unannounced to do a review on the Japanese Bbq food truck. Off the bat this guy was negative the whole time, even trash talking them. In my opinion I think his behavior was worse than his friend that spit out the food. I’m not sure if they planned on just being negative as a rage bait tactic but whatever they did, worked. Everyone is talking about these two now but not in a good way. I feel if he was being honest, then he’s entitled to his opinion also, however do it with respect. I would never show up unannounced, expecting free food and special treatment, and then trash talk the people who agreed to work with me. I’ve always believed that shows immaturity and lack of class. I think it’s possible, and it shows, that he really has no idea what he’s talking about, like sending someone raised on McDonald’s to go and review five star dining. It goes over their head. Since this incident, both of them have issued apology videos out of necessity, not out of remorse. They are publicly shamed for their behavior for this and rightfully so.

According to reports, 22-year-old Mohammad Shahdab, also known as Aman, was arrested for allegedly harassing an 18-year-old girl who was on her way to a library. Police say he grabbed her hand, followed her, and continued chasing her even after she ran inside the library screaming for help. If these allegations are true, such behavior is shameful and reflects a complete disregard for another person's dignity and safety. A library is meant to be a place of learning and security, not a place where someone has to fear harassment. No woman should have to experience this kind of intimidation while simply going about her daily life. Japan’s going to pay this amount of money, and I get to decide what happens with the money,” etc., etc. And then within hours the Japanese come out and say, “Uh, no, that’s not our understanding of the deal.” So if you don’t actually put the terms down and get both sides to sign on the dotted line, you’re going to have profound misunderstandings about what the terms actually are. And at the end of the day, huge elements of this will never get implemented. That’s a problem, because here you have the president touting all these so-called successes, while our trading partners are basically saying, “Our understanding of the deal is totally different from that — and we’re not bound to the kinds of claims President Trump is making in his social media posts.” All it’s going to do is leave these tariffs at heightened levels — directly increasing the cost of goods Americans buy and taking more money out of their pocketbooks, with these vague promises of what we’re supposedly getting on the other side. I’ve never seen anything like it, and I think it is not a way to do business.

It is not the fault of the Igbos. They are simply employing their own people, replacing indigenous workers with more Igbos. The highest superintendent in Chevron is an Igbo woman — she is the one doing this. Can you blame her? No. I blame our useless, spineless Itsekiri leaders. Out of 18 graduates recently employed for work on Itsekiri land, 12 are Igbos. The rest are just 2 Yorubas and a few from other tribes. Not a single Itsekiri graduate was employed — in our own land. And some of you still want to blame the Igbos for dominating? No. That is their nature. That is who they are. They look out for one another without apology. You cannot blame them for it. Where are the leaders of Warri Kingdom? Who are the Itsekiri contractors to Chevron? Who negotiated these employment arrangements? Why is this happening under their watch while our graduates are completely shut out? Ilaje and itsekiri graduates protested just last year for employment why were igbos employed? Who let it happen? These are the questions we should be asking. Chevron and these companies do this because they know Itsekiris are not violent people. They know they can take us for granted and walk over us as they like. Would they try this with the Ibibios or the Ijaws? With the Hausa or Fulani? Never. They would not dare. Even the Igbos themselves would never tolerate this in their own land. They would burn the company down before allowing such a thing. But Itsekiris? We are lions without teeth. #WATCH | On a lawyer attempting to throw an object at CJI BR Gavai, President of Supreme Court Bar Association, Senior Advocate Vikas Singh says, "...The second aspect that needs consideration is the role of social media these days in escalating things out of proportion. This original case was a sort of PIL where somebody wanted a Hindu deity which had broken down to be constructed. CJI rightly said that these are matters for the authorities to consider, because there are ASI issues if it is an archaeological structure and religious issues as well. So, accordingly, the petition was dismissed...That statement was misrepresented by social media to give an impression as if the CJI had insulted the deity... This lawyer, for the purpose of seeking publicity has done this exercise and I will beseech the media and social media not to give publicity to this lawyer because his whole purpose is to get publicity. Even if the CJI feels that no action needs to be taken and he has shown a large heart, I think we as the Bar Association owe a duty to the institution and the Bar Council of India owes a duty to the profession. So, after deliberating on this issue in our executive committee will decide on taking action. And I am sure that Bar Council of India should take some action for such conduct because it is completely unbecoming of an advocate. Well, we’ve been looking into the shooter who law enforcement sources have identified as Robin Westman and police have been examining some of the postings online by an individual of the same name, presumed to be the same individual. It shows numerous weapons, magazines, things in preparation for the shooting along with a book and different notes. But one of them is particularly telling in that it says: ‘I have waited for this for so long. I am not well. I am not right. I am a sad person, haunted by these thoughts that do not go away. I know this is wrong’ and he goes on to describe that the action he is going to take against this world before taking his own life — which is not uncommon in these incidents, these active shooter scenarios where you see someone who reports to be in — in — in pain and trauma and that they write all of this out and leave it behind with the foreknowledge that what they're about to do is going to end their own life as well, while taking these — these strangers, these innocent people with them in the process. But investigators are going back through this material and a lot of other material trying to determine motive. So what do we know? I mean, what we know, if this in fact is from the shooter, that his motive was he was in pain. But what we don't see here and there's more to go through is what was, what was the shooter — Robin Westman in pain about specifically?”
