I think it's more effective to remind people when he is insulting me or criticizing me, about the question I asked or the reporting that I did that he was so angry about. The fact that I got an award for it really bothered him, clearly. In those moments it's important to put the reminder back on the work, on the question, and on the non-answers that we get.

Crockett: I know that facts hurt you all, and I wish we could get on the same page, but we do know that during the presidential election, Trump would not go and participate in anything if fact-checking was involved because he didn’t want to be fact-checked. We know that Vance got upset during the debate when he was fact-checked. There used to be a time in this country where we as elected officials thought that it was okay to just tell the truth.
