This isn’t art I’m sorry - compartmentalizing some buckets, poking holes, and splashing a bunch of shit everywhere does not take talent

In Vanuatu, it is a tradition to make sand drawings with a single, unbroken stroke

It’s visually interesting but the result is IKEA-level artwork.

I love it, but I can’t stop thinking about all the waste of painting 🤯

Sometimes I wish I was born into money. Then I see trust fund kids up to pointless and depressing bullshit like this and feel better about my life.

The jealousy in here. The point is HE had the ingenuity to come up with the technique. “It’s not art… bla bla” — but you COULDN’T think of the idea, could you?

I tried asking chatGPT to simulate the technique and create something for me. It was very disappointing.

He owns his own studio, sells the canvas that is protecting the walls. Sold that helix painting for $80,000. Callen Schwab, look him up.

Makes me question spending the last 25 years learning to paint and draw...could have just thrown sh¢t at a canvas for 80k

I’ve always wondered if this is truly considered art. I’m not artistic at all so don’t really care. Doesnt really seem like art. Just kinda random paint splashing.

This is fascinating, applying physics creatively as a brush. The extensive setup, testing, and effort make me view it as both an art and a science.

This is worse than A.I. art, which I would rather be looking at. This garbage is the same thing I did on a machine at a carnival in 1989. Trash.

You can make the argument I guess that it’s art and he is transforming something but let’s not argue that it’s good. I would pay at the most 10 bucks for something like that. And besides I prefer art made by an artist and not gravity…. AI is going to crush these people.

Incredible how some people call this art. Draw me a portrait that looks like a photograph and then I’ll call you an artist.

A waste of paint. I don't really like Abstract, I like to SEE real Pictures. Art is preference tho. Remember, anyone can swing around and make a mess but not everyone can create fine details from portraits to landscaping.
