🇱🇻 Latvia wants to remove road signs pointing to Russia and Belarus Transport Minister Rihards Kozlovskis said that such signs are no longer needed. Under the plan, more than 300 road signs will be replaced or updated by the end of September. The project is expected to cost around €120,000. The ministry explained that simply covering up the existing signs is not an option, as it could reduce their visibility and compromise road safety. The final decision still has to be approved by the government. How long do you think it will take before Moscow starts crying about yet another case of "Russophobia" in Latvia? Then again, they should be happy about it. Now NATO tanks definitely won't make it to Moscow — they'll just get lost!

Your regular reminder that replacing a regular lane with a cycle lane does not reduce road capacity, it massively increases it, because single occupancy vehicles are the least space-efficient form of transport. You just can't take advantage of that capacity increase in your SUV.

🏗️🚎 I popped in at Hanover Park to see progress on our “sky circle” that will allow express lanes for MyCiTi buses to stay separate from traffic for quicker public transport. This is all part of our major expansion of our MyCiTi bus service to Khayelitsha and Mitchells Plain. The first of its kind in South Africa, we are making public transport more available for all in Cape Town! 🇿🇦🔥 Read more:

Look at these men. They are newly mobilized conscripts in Chernivtsi, being loaded onto buses for transport to military units. Some of them show visible signs of serious health problems. These are people who need medical treatment and care—not to be shipped off to a military training ground. It looks less like the state fulfilling its duty of care than like the state punishing those it is supposed to protect. The video was published by Ukraine's Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets.
