Francine learned an important lesson that day: Never under ANY circumstances change Roger's backstory during improv.

As far as I'm concerned, American Dad has all the energy and good writing that Family Guy seasons 1-3 had. I haven't consistently watched American Dad since the 2010's but every time I check back in it's still decent while I watch most modern Family Guy totally stone faced.

And unlike family guy the jokes are still going strong
