Getting even closer, but it's not quite there yet... The property needs to be automated with drivers, which also needs to account for the oval shape and its pivot😵‍💫 But i think this is a step in the right direction. #blender #rigging

Did you know, on my Mimic rig you can scale the EYE_MASTER and the eyes will move according to the axis you're scaling on! This keeps editing the graph, nice and easy since almost all transforms can be made with this control :D #fnafsecretofthemimic #blender #rig

Inspired by dotflare, I added a breathing controller to my Lara rig! This is such a great mechanism for easy idle animations. I set mine up with extrapolated transformation constraints on an MCH layer, and i'm super pleased with how it looks😁 #blender #rigging #rig

Who needs a mocap suit? 😁Testing out AIOS - All-in-One-Stage Expressive Human Pose and Shape Estimation (link in thread). I uploaded a video from Pexels and it created the 3D mesh, which I was able to import into Blender and use Geometry nodes to control. (see thread for nodes).

Even though the process itself isnt new (people have done this for years), I made a blender plugin for easily baking down cycles lighting from blender into one fbx, with all textures, ready for Roblox import. This is the directly-imported baked lighting. if it's less painful to do the steps, itll be more viable for env art #robloxdev #roblox

Tested Claude + Blender today with two real workflows. Sharing what actually happened. First one was a simple demo. Gave it one sentence to build a cyberpunk room. Geometry, lighting, camera, render. It got there, though not everything in the prompt landed perfectly. Good enough to show the concept, not a stress test. Second one was more interesting. Threw a raw photogrammetry scan at it. Massey Ferguson tractor, 250k faces, grass background everywhere, debris floating all over the place. Asked Claude to clean it up autonomously. It did the work. Removed 106 floating chunks, cut face count by 87%, stripped the grass, flipped the model upright, set up studio lighting and rendered. Technically it worked. But honest answer: the result wasn't clean enough for production. This kind of cleanup still needs the right tools and someone who knows what they're doing. So here's where it actually fits. Not the precise technical stuff. The setup work. The repetitive stuff. The things that take forever if you don't already know Blender. It won't replace your 3D artist. It replaces the boring part before they start.

Shoulder turret is complete ✅ Utilises a B-Bone + Armature constraint mechanism for the ammo chain, which gives really nice motion from one or two controllers. Super easy to space switch too! Now it's time for the big man himself to come alive...

One trick we discovered for avoiding realistic face moderation issues in Seedance 2.0 is using character turnaround sheets (front / side / back views). The first video is one of our experiment results — and it runs successfully. We’ve now integrated character turnarounds directly into our workflow + canvas system: 1. If your artwork was generated on our site, you can drag the image into the canvas directly from the Assets tab 2. Click the “Character Turnaround” button above the image to automatically generate a 3-view turnaround sheet 3. Create a new video node and use the turnaround sheet directly with Seedance 2.0 inside the workflow I’ve shared the workflow link in the comments if you want to explore the exact prompts, setup, and workflow details.

Michael Arnaldi suggested cloning the effect repo as a git subtree, giving it to Claude, then using that as docs It sounds absurd, but it's actually kind amazing lol Setup a custom OpenCode agent that has all the context on where the files are then it kinda just works I feel like this could definitely be refined but idk if I even care enough. Stuff like cursor/opencode/claude code is already so good at searching codebases that I don't really care to do anything more

When modelling, I think it's good practice to test mechanical parts with a rough rig I would hate to get past the UV's/Textures/Baking, gotten to the rig, and realise that i've made a lot more work for myself because the parts don't work😆 #blender #modelling #rigging

✨ Made a new mini feature on Photo AI: [ Grab from 3d model ] So the problem is we're at that stage in time (typical for AI) where image-to-3d models are not good enough but are fun to play with, but we know they'll be good enough in 1-2 years With [ Make 3d model ] you already can turn any Photo AI pic into a 3d model but it still looks hyper clunky and deformed, but it works! One cool idea I had to make that more useful and made now: Let people make a 3d model then change the view of the it with the 3d viewer, then press [ o ] and it grabs a frame of the 3d That image you can then [ Remix ] (img2img), and it becomes a real photo again and that in turn you can then turn into a video again with [ Make video ] So that essentially gives you a fully freeform camera position control to take photos with One thing I need to fix is the background/skybox, I kinda need to take the original photo and remove the person and just get the background for the 3d model viewer, in this case it should be white, but it's a start!

HTML enters 3D! Or vice versa? With the new HTML in Canvas by WICG, we can finally put native DOM elements directly into WebGL/WebGPU scenes. It is experimental for now, but the possibilities for 3D interfaces and special effects are huge. This demo was built using Three.js and Omma AI (tool by Spline ) It’s a fun new way to explore what the web can do! Are you interested in seeing the demo?
