There is no office of First Lady there (Nigerian Constitution). Becoming the president will not abolish my marriage, but I will not have the office of First Lady. Women will be heard, but I don't believe that you need a first lady who is holding an unconstitutional position and just wasting money that is meant for progress and projects. - Omoyele Sowore, AAC 2027 Presidential candidate #PoliticsToday

After reading through the tweets, it is important that I state this: I am deeply grateful to every Nigerian, and I will forever remain grateful. It may interest you to know that my elder brother and the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, Omoyele Sowore was one of the first people I had to meet and appreciate on the very night I was released from DSS custody. I may not be able to mention everyone’s name, but please understand that I truly appreciate Nigerians, and my love and passion for a better Nigeria has only doubled. As for the repost of a comment made by someone else, that was an error. For now, I want us to focus on demanding a good and working Nigeria that we can all be proud of. Justice can never be cracked

This month of August is coming to an end. I saw things this month. • First hand experience of campaigning across Irewole, Ayedaade, Osogbo, Egbedore and Ede. • Engagement with elders and political leaders across Ayedaade, Irewole, Isokan Federal Constituency. • Engagement with the Oba and Palace Chiefs in Odeomu, Osun State. • Getting dragged and defamed on X, Instagram and Facebook as though I was the governorship candidate or the leader of the APC in Osun. Also experienced political treachery first hand. • Shocked at the number of people who staunchly came to my defence. The calls, the messages. Yet to reply all the messages on WhatsApp 😭🤦🏾‍♂️😭. In all, I thank God for the spirit of resilience installed in me since childhood and through rebirth as an adult. Ope ni gbogbo e ma jasi🙏🏽. For AMBO, OSUN & APC, I will do this again if given the opportunity 💙. - Dr Dipo Awojide (Ogbeni Dipo), Member, Independent Campaign Committee, Media & Publicity Committee, and Diaspora Committee, Osun State APC 2026 Governorship Election Campaign Council ✌🏽.

“I’m In Court Today Over My Case With Blord. Dear Omoyele Sowore, Blord Just Left The Court With His SAN In The Same Case You Said You Would Discontinue. Now Use The Same Mouth You Used To Say You Would End The Case And Tell Them That You Cannot End a Case That Involves VeryDarkMan. The Case Has Been Adjourned To 8th December 2026. Even If This Case Takes 10 Years, We Will See It To The End. And Lastly, Please Step Down From The Presidential Race And Try Something Else, Maybe Councillor Or Local Government Chairman In Your State, Because You Can Never Become President. Ordinarily, I Would Have Let Go Of This Case With Blord, But I Want To Show Sowore That He Cannot Simply End a Case.”

I am deeply grateful to the leaders, stakeholders and teeming members of the APC in Osun State for the overwhelming vote of confidence in my leadership at our stakeholders’ meeting in Osogbo today. I do not take this trust for granted. I also appreciate our dear President and Leader, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his steadfast commitment to the progress of our party and our nation. His leadership continues to inspire us, and we remain fully committed to supporting his Renewed Hope agenda. The outcome of the August 15 governorship election has presented us with important lessons. Our task now is to unite, reconcile and rebuild our party from the grassroots, ensuring that every member feels valued and carried along. I remain confident in the future of the APC in Osun State. Together, we will emerge stronger, more cohesive and better prepared for the political challenges ahead. I commend our governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), and all our leaders and members for their commitment, resilience and loyalty to the party. Our eyes are firmly on 2027. We will work together to secure victory for our candidates and deliver the promised one million votes from Osun for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The progressive family remains one. Our work continues.

Yesterday evening, I inspected the vandalized section of the Lameco Flyover in Osogbo. I commend the hardworking engineers from the Ministry of Works who have swiftly mobilized to the site to ensure the immediate repair of the damaged section. During my visit, I received direct briefing from the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr. Bashiru Bello, on the circumstances surrounding the act of vandalism. It is unfortunate that some saboteurs, whose sole objective is to undermine our developmental strides and destroy the legacy of this administration, would resort to attacking public infrastructure built with taxpayers’ resources. I enjoin security agencies to strengthen the protection of public infrastructure across the state and ensure that those responsible for this criminal act are identified, arrested, and brought to justice. These projects belong to the people of Osun State, and every well-meaning citizen has a responsibility to protect them from acts of sabotage and vandalism. My administration remains resolute in its commitment to delivering quality infrastructure and will not be deterred by the actions of those who seek to impede our progress.

Mesa, AZ Republican Mayor John Giles: I do not recognize my party. I have something to say to those of us who are in the middle: You don’t owe a damn thing to that party. You don’t owe anything to a party that is out of touch and hell-bent on taking us backward. And by all means, you owe no loyalty to a candidate who is morally and ethically bankrupt. In the spirit of the great Senator John McCain, please join me in putting country over party and stopping Donald Trump.
