Totally supporting Abdul El-Sayed in this race, but his rhetoric needs a lot more scrutiny/editing. I wish he would dial down the trumpy insults and emulate Carney. He is Gish galloping his way through these town halls in a way I find to be disingenuous.

This teacher is pregnant and doesn’t have a support system in place. When her students found out she wasn’t having a baby shower because she couldn’t afford it, they all got together to give her one. When you are alone and you are facing a huge task like this, it can be terrifying. It’s so important to be able to have someone you can lean on when you are facing so much uncertainty. Her students are also creating a wishlist for her so others in the community can chip and help her. Where so many people would judge her for being in. That position, others saw a person who could use some help and stepped in, isn’t this is what motherhood is about?
