It’s shocking how every time there’s an emergency, airlines hike their ticket prices. We saw it during the Pahalgam attack, and now again with the floods in Jammu and Kashmir fares have gone sky-high. And the excuse of “operational costs” just doesn’t hold ground. This isn’t about costs, this is about business greed. Instead of helping people in crisis, airlines are cashing in on their helplessness. Each of them had years of experience, a deep commitment to their calling, and an unwavering sense of duty. To say we are heartbroken is an understatement. We are devastated, we are grieving, and we are holding close the families, friends, and colleagues who now carry the weight of unimaginable loss. But even through our sorrow, we will honor them.
