Leave it to the mainstream media to report on the incredible and life-changing power of Neuralink without so much as mentioning @elonmusk. You people are truly shameless.

I still cannot tell which voice still feels like his once the chip speaks.

Neuralink gave someone their voice back. Not typed. Not replayed. Him. Brain signals turned into speech in real time. Life-changing. I know. Take a second with that... Neuralink

1. A paralyzed man is now able to "speak" in his own voice, thanks to Elon's Neuralink brain chip. Bradford Smith, who has ALS—a disease that left only his brain and eyes working—got a Neuralink implant in January. Now, he can talk with his family more normally. He types using just his thoughts on a virtual keyboard. Then Grok AI helps complete his sentences and turns the text into speech that sounds like his real voice, recreated from old audio clips. Bradford shared his experience and a look at the interface on Twitter, expressing how happy he is with the result.

🚨 NEURALINK’S FIRST NONVERBAL PATIENT JUST “SPOKE” USING TELEPATHY — AND IT’S BREAKING THE INTERNET “This is my old voice… cloned by AI.” A man with advanced ALS who lost ALL ability to speak is now communicating again using nothing but his thoughts. He made this video using telepathy, edited with his mind. Read that again. • Implant in his motor cortex (controls movement) • Size of five stacked quarters that replaces part of his skull • Robot threads placed millimeters into the brain, avoiding blood vessels • Thoughts → text → AI voice in real time Before this? He was completely paralyzed. Completely nonverbal. Trapped inside his own body using eye-tracking just to communicate. Now he’s typing with his mind… joking with his kids… even beating them at Mario Kart again. He says life has greatly improved since receiving the Neuralink brain chip impact. And that voice you’re hearing? Those are his thoughts turned into speech. Would you implant a chip in your brain to get your life back?

NEURALINK GIVES ALS PATIENT A VOICE LIKE NEVER BEFORE Imagine being stuck in your own head with a thousand thoughts but no way to say them. That was Brad G. Smith’s life with ALS until Neuralink stepped in with a chip that reads his brain signals. Before this brain implant, Smith had to rely on eye-tracking software that only worked in the dark. He joked it turned him into Batman without the gadgets. Now, he can control a computer cursor and talk to his family even in bright daylight. The Neuralink implant uses a thousand tiny wires that pick up signals from his brain and send them to a MacBook Pro. At first, they tried linking it to his hand movements but that was a flop. Turns out his tongue was the star of the show and clenching his jaw worked as a click. Smith says he does not even think about it anymore. His brain just knows what to do, like a pro gamer making split second moves. Thanks to Neuralink, Smith can race his kids in Mario Kart and talk to them faster than ever. He even uses an AI chatbot that comes up with clever replies. Once, it suggested giving a bouquet of carrots to a friend’s horse-loving girlfriend. For Smith, ALS may have taken a lot but Neuralink has given him something priceless: a way to speak up and stay connected to the world. Source: FOX

Kenneth was diagnosed with ALS in 2024 and is losing his ability to speak. Through Neuralink’s brain-computer interface technology, he is working towards regaining not just the ability to speak, but to speak in his own, original voice. See how this is made possible.

Imagine losing your voice to ALS, then finally being able to speak again using only your thoughts. That is what Neuralink is making possible for Terry. In Terry’s own words: “Neuralink has given me back my voice.” Absolutely incredible. ❤️

Through the VOICE trial, Terry is using his Neuralink implant to help fine-tune a brain-to-voice interface for himself and others who can’t speak. He trained the algorithm first by miming speech as best he could, then by simply thinking the words and hearing them come out in his own natural voice. Powered by Grok Voice from SpaceXAI

GROK FINISHES HIS SENTENCES, NEURALINK READS HIS MIND - YES, REALLY Bradford Smith lost the ability to move or speak due to ALS. Now? He’s got a Neuralink chip that lets him think his texts into existence. Grok steps in to finish his thoughts like a mind-reading autocorrect. Then another AI clones his actual voice - so when he speaks, it sounds like him. TL;DR: he’s texting, talking, and channeling Jedi powers - all with his mind. At this point, the exosuit upgrade feels inevitable. Source: theaifield on Instagram

ALS took Brad's voice, but with Neuralink, he's gotten it back. I was honored to join Brad in his home with his family to learn more about Neuralink and how it's completely changed his quality of life.

"Neuralink was like a gift from God" Powerful words from P7. I had the privilege of interviewing Jake Schneider, Neuralink's 7th patient, about what life is like now having a Neuralink brain implant for 3 months. Jake was diagnosed with ALS a few years ago and says before Neuralink, he felt overcome by hopelessness due to his condition. He says now Neuralink not only enhances his quality of life, but working with the team gives him a sense of purpose. And his son says his dad has superpowers now with his brain chip <3 My full interview is coming soon, but I was so touched by this story I wanted to share a preview. Jake Schneider
