when you say leave the rig, you mean let someone else tow it back to upgrade, not abandon it in the ice?

Definitely not abandoned Jules, it is with a member of the team and we will being the modification process in the coming months. We will visit it and do some work on it while we are in North America too 👍🏻

Don't be downhearted. You've done amazingly well so far and as you pointed out, it's a case of refining the design for the time you get to the other side of the world! Nobody's done this before, so it's all a learning experience. 👍

Unfortunately not at the moment. The solar panel company we were in talks with pulled out. Back on the look out as there is a big role for #solar in Antarctica. 24/7 sun

This is just the type of situation that makes these groundbreaking expeditions worth it. Learn, adapt but keep moving on. The right decision for the right reasons but regretful none the less. 👍⚡️🚗
