One of my favorite things about data science is that you're constantly asking: **"What assumption is everyone making?"** Last week, China's new **Kimi K3** model got a lot of attention. Not because it's definitively the best AI model in the world—but because it raises an interesting possibility: **What if frontier AI is becoming cheaper, faster than investors expect?** If that's true, AI doesn't become less important. It becomes **less scarce.** And history says markets don't move because everyone suddenly becomes pessimistic. They move when one of the assumptions everyone agreed on starts to change. I don't know if that's what's happening here. But I do think it's the more interesting question. Curious to hear your thoughts.
