Aircraft carrier catapult but for spacecraft? Not impossible but unlikely. Better to fight lower air density going vertical. Would work better on the moon or mars.

i wonder why not use electromagnetic rail to accelerate it and ignite once it leaves the track. if it's transporting rigid components, it might handle serious acceleration.
