i’m still grappling with this problem but to my knowledge it’s possible with heavy caveats there’s no closed form solution, and numerical methods are confounded by the fact that my simulation ignores eccentricity and inclination, yet the orbital period ratios are still irrational so wether a position repeats and when is itself a problem without a closed form solution i believe the best you can do is a bespoke numerical method that assumes simple orbits and takes a finite date range to search over as an input this makes it so it would be hard to use this for anything that needs to be perfectly robust such as an encryption schema, but I think there are some potential interesting forms of message passing available (i’ll be exploring wax seal usage in the future) you can also do things like “present a seal of the date within a pre-established range where all the planets occupy a minimum enclosing arc” as a basis for asymmetric information exchange i plan to explore this more and will post findings
