An off-grid micro-distillery has been opened on Lambay Island, three miles off the coast of Dublin. The distillery - believed to be one of the first of its kind in the world - is aiming to be as sustainable as possible to preserve Lambay’s unique ecosystem.

The island is owned by a private company🤔. "The island is still privately owned by the Revelstoke Trust, a discretionary Baring family trust.[56] Alex and Brooke Baring and their children and a small staff are, as of 2020, the only permanent residents,[33]."
