Polish police have arrested a taxi passenger who attacked a Ukrainian Uber driver over national animosity. The incident happened on September 8 in Gdansk. The taxi was hailed by two tipsy men. After the driver told one of the passengers that he was not allowed to get into the car with an open bottle of beer, he began to insult him, including about his nationality. The Ukrainian student, who works part-time as a taxi driver, tried to ignore the insults of the drunk passenger. When they were halfway there, the passenger attacked the driver for no reason, punching him in the face. The taxi driver used pepper spray against the offenders. The police found the hooligans quickly. They face criminal charges.

Uber Nightmare: Passenger Refuses to Exit After Canceling Ride—Then Smashes the Window A driver picked up a Pool request and stopped at a gas station for a passenger whose car had broken down. He kindly took the person to an auto parts store, then waited nearby to handle the return trip. When another request came in, the driver asked the passenger to step out at a well-lit daycare center with a bench—where the next driver was already en route. The passenger canceled the ride mid-trip but refused to leave, demanding a drop-off at a safer spot despite the bright, populated location. The driver stayed calm, explaining the cancellation meant the ride was over. Tension rose as the passenger grew belligerent and aggressive. Frustrated but patient, the driver called 911 for help removing the uncooperative rider. The dispatcher struggled to note basic details like the exact spot. Suddenly, the passenger smashed the rear window with surprising force and fled into the night—right after claiming fear of the dark. The driver, shaken but unharmed, reported the damage and the suspect's direction. The incident highlighted risks drivers face when passengers try for free rides or ignore ride rules, turning a simple trip into chaos. Always exit promptly when a ride ends—safety goes both ways.

Brooklyn: West 20th Street & Surf Avenue, a man coming out of the Stillwell Avenue train station unknowingly stepped into an illegal cab that was already being watched by TLC enforcement. Officers moved in to initiate a stop, and the vehicle finally pulled over on West 20th Street between Surf Avenue and Mermaid Avenue. The traffic stop escalated immediately. The driver refused to hand over his documents and began arguing with the officer at the window. Inside the car, the passenger quickly realized he had walked into the wrong situation, he had an out-of-state bench warrant and wanted no part of a confrontation with police. As soon as the vehicle came to a full stop, he got out and distanced himself from the scene. With the passenger gone, the driver hit the gas, fleeing from the traffic stop and leaving TLC enforcement behind as he sped off.

In November 2019, Chelsea Klein was riding in a Lyft in New York when her driver apparently cut off another car. The other driver stopped, got out and leaned through the Lyft’s passenger window to confront them, even after the Lyft driver repeatedly apologized. Klein began recording because she was unsure how far the confrontation would escalate. Contemporary coverage identifies Klein as the person who filmed and uploaded the footage. When Klein pointed out that the woman was swearing in front of her children, the woman responded that they couldn’t hear her because “they’re listening to Kidz Bop.”

An Uber driver on his way to pick up a passenger was thrown into a real-life "action movie moment" when two police officers jumped in his car while he was stopped at an intersection and told him to chase the suspect. After about five minutes of searching, the officers got out and continued the pursuit while retired Army veteran Anthony Baines circled back to pick up the passenger waiting for him. That passenger, Baines says, understood the situation and gave him a 5-star rating.

In the video, An agent is pointing a taser through the passenger window, while assaulting the passenger, and threatens to tase him if he doesn’t open the door. The passenger asks a simple question, why were we stopped? The agent responds, “You are here illegally, you know why.” No probable cause articulated, just an accusation. Then it escalates further… The agent moves to the driver’s side, opens the door himself, and yells, “When I tell you to open the fucking door, you open it. I’m not fucking with you.” He grabs the driver’s phone, demands ID, and screams at him to hand over his wallet. He then notices another person is recording, and the agent tries to grab that phone, too… stopping only because the filmer pulls it back and tells him not to touch it. The driver has his hands up and repeatedly says he is not doing anything. But, instead of de-escalating, the agent threatens to tase him and tries to handcuff him. So, let’s break down what is happening…

A female Uber driver has recounted an encounter she had with a passenger on Sunday. According to her, after completing the trip, the passenger asked to go into her room to get money to pay the fare. The driver said she had no choice but to place the trip on “waiting” since payment had not yet been made. The passenger reportedly asked her to end the trip first so she could check the final amount, but the driver refused, insisting she should bring an estimated amount between GH¢22 and GH¢25. However, when the passenger returned with the money and the driver ended the trip, the fare increased from GH¢22 to GH¢28. The passenger then allegedly refused to pay the new amount, forcing the driver to take the money from her.
