Analyzing the camera from THPS 1+2, and did I just find a MASSIVE BUG?!? oh wait no, it's just super thoughtful design my bad.

Neat. Watching this scene over again, i dont know if its a camera offset, or an animation override. Because the board swings up but out camera is following more of the “center of mass” of the player. If the camera stayed on the board it could be jarring and snappy.

@MLPcampos That’s so tricky I love it I also love how the animations always return the board right to the origin of the camera as the player lands or ends a trick, really helps the timing of landing stuff as you can tell how far you are as you slide closer to that invisible origin

About the offset on the slopes, I think the camera actually tracks the shoulders, so when the body leans to the side it causes this effect where the skateboard goes off center.

Unfortunately the sales from Pro Gymnast Simulator would sort of indicate otherwise 😢

Whoa i never thought about how the camera can help sell that tony hawk "magnetism" compared to something like skate

The shadow trickery is insane, I didn't notice it until you pointed it out. It should be so obvious... crazy what you can "get away with"!
