And this is how Rep. Benny Abante gets vindicated. Remember when Sara Duterte went to Isko’s campaign rally in Manila to campaign against Abante? Not just that: nag-post pa sya maliciously ng photo ni Abante na hindi dapat i-post. Pero pikon kasi sya because Abante asked her questions she...

Behavior Unbecoming of a Vice President Desperate to keep her family’s influence in Philippine politics or maybe some sort of revenge for being the very first Vice President impeached in the history of the land — Sara Zimmerman Duterte on her campaign tour is proving to the world that the articles of impeachment as submitted are correct. That indeed… SHE IS UNFIT TO REMAIN IN OFFICE! Anywhere she goes, all she could offer are senseless accusations and baseless criticisms against the people who voted for her impeachment. At least she is honest that her intentions are selfish, that her endorsement of the candidates is solely for self-preservation. I dare Sara Zimmerman Duterte to tell the people listening to you, what did you do to make their lives better? You promised to solve the education crisis, things went worse when you were Department of Education Secretary. And don’t let me get started with the Office of the Vice President! Your incompetence is beyond me! I can guarantee that in terms of accomplishments and competence, you are nothing compared to those who voted to impeach you! You are nothing but those you are discrediting. If she thinks that duly elected representatives are not worth the explanation about questionable expenditures of her offices, I dare Sara Zimmerman Duterte to explain to her supporters what she claims to love and value. The impeachment prosecutors are very confident that one of the prayers in the complaint is the continuation of the proceeding even if she chooses to resign. The impeachment complaint is clear, that 80% of the members of the House of Representatives were convinced. Seven impeachment articles! And she only needs to be convicted in one! Do not vote any Duterte candidates this May 2025!

Is the Supreme Court ruling on the impeachment of Sara Zimmerman Duterte based on erroneous facts? I was there! I didn’t miss the chance to witness history — I can say for a fact that the ruling of the Supreme Court was based on erroneous facts and anyone can check it via the Livestream of the House of Representatives that day. February 5, 2025. One of the things which concerns me here is the additional requirement that came out of nowhere— not in the 1987 Constitution and not even in the existing ruling of the Supreme Court. Speaker Martin Romualdez in an interview yesterday said that the House of Representatives followed the existing precedent also from the Supreme Court — the Francisco and Gutierrez ruling. How can the House follow something that doesn’t exist during that time? Please make sense. Atty. Princess Abante released an explainer video explaining the factual truth about what transpired in the House of Representatives on February 5. Aside from the House Journal and official reports, the public can easily check the livestream of the House of Representatives. I don’t care if the Supreme Court ruling was written by an Aquino appointee because it doesn’t make sense to me at all! Please take time to watch the video — Atty. Abante was able to explain the side of the House of Representatives. Also, why would the Supreme Court put more weight to a news article versus an official journal and actually videos? Now, please tell me… How can we just trust the decision of the Supreme Court?

Senate President Chiz Escudero said they can dismiss the impeachment complaint with just the majority vote It is as if Escudero is laying out the predicate — testing the waters and public clamour when the possibility of them dismissing the impeachment complaint actually happens. After the whole remand of the articles fiasco, we can see right through him and who is with him on this. It doesn’t take the most brilliant of minds to say that the constitution specifically says “TRY AND DECIDE” —- it is the mandate of the impeachment court for the actual trial to happen. Legal luminaries and even framers of the Philippine constitution call him out on this! I am beginning to believe what they say, that this is not about Sara Duterte anymore— this is about his Senate presidency. To decide whether or not the impeachment complaint is constitutional is not within the mandate of the Senate nor the impeachment court. Senate President Escudero is also trying to dilute the exclusive power granted by the Constitution to the House of Representatives to initiate impeachment proceedings — saying they can decide to dismiss the case even before trial. One very dangerous precedent if you ask me. We haven’t heard a decent explanation nor defense from Sara Zimmerman Duterte, not one from formal or informal set-up. The Vice President kept diverting the issue into technicalities and accusations. Where did all the money go? I am not a fan of Atty. Fortun but I respect what he can do but not even his law firm can give good defense. Sara Duterte’ ad cautelam even cited rulings that are no longer valid. Please watch the explanation of Atty. Bucoy from his press conference earlier this afternoon.

Vice President Sara Duterte ay hindi isang kaibigan In a press conference yesterday, the President emotionally said that he felt deceived because he always considered the Vice President as a friend and if you’ve been following the news, you would know that he sincerely protected her in several circumstances. Up to this very day… you cannot find any direct attack of the President and the first family against her. In fact, despite the obvious incompetence and negligence of the Vice President, the Marcos Administration submitted the increased budget proposal under the National Expenditures Program to the legislative. Her supporters even had the audacity to say that she’s the reason for the Marcos presidency, when in fact she cannot even help Atty. Harry Roque win a senate seat. She pretty much did everything — good words in every campaign, commercials, ads, photos, she wore his shirt and even danced with him. So please bore someone with that assumption. I cannot say I’m surprised with the actions and statements of VP Sara Duterte because this is not the first time she did this. In fact! I can say for a fact that she’s in no position to write a book about friendship —- like not at all! Someone from Davao City once told me that the Dutertes will drop anyone they do not need anymore, especially Vice President Sara Duterte. Although he/she mentioned names I would rather cite circumstances I can prove with publicly available information. Remember how she betrayed a very loyal Duterte aly? The former Speaker Alvarez, not only did she organize the coup d’etat, she did in the most embarrassing time — hours before the SONA and without his father knowing. Are we talking about “utang na loob” now? Publicly available information would tell you how Speaker Martin Romualdez went above, over and beyond to help the Vice President in the last elections. Not only did she try to unseat him as the Speaker of the House, she started this hate campaign and released unsubstantiated claims about him. Not only that! Remember her unsubstantiated “kalaban yan” claims against the DSWD? Please know that the Gatchalians are also instrumental in her 2022 win. It is only the Dutertes and their supporters who like shoving “utang na loob” to their rivals’ faces but their history is full of betrayal for personal gain. So I don’t think they have the moral compass to say anything about that. Lols For those of you who seek alliance with the Dutertes, I sincerely hope you think again… as everyone is dispensable to them. I will not be surprised if the Dutertes betray Bong Go and Bato Dela Rosa too in the near future… but who knows. Good riddance, Mr. President! Your administration is better off without her. Chair Luistro: VP answer to impeachment raps reads like prohibited motion to dismiss HOUSE Committee on Justice Chair Atty. Gerville “Jinky Bitrics” Luistro of Batangas on Tuesday said the response submitted by Vice President Sara Z. Duterte to the impeachment complaints against her “doesn’t seem like an answer” and instead appears to be a prohibited pleading under House rules. Luistro said her reading of the Vice President’s filing raised serious procedural concerns. “Apparently for me, it doesn’t seem like an answer. While I was reading the answer, it looks like a motion to dismiss,” Luistro said in a radio interview. Luistro pointed out that such a pleading is not allowed in impeachment proceedings. “At maliwanag sa ating rules of impeachment ng House of Representatives that motion to dismiss is a prohibited pleading dito sa impeachment proceeding,” Luistro added. Luistro said the submission failed to directly address the accusations laid out in the complaints. “At least if I base it on the allegations contained in the answer, hindi siya responsive dun sa grounds, dun sa offenses alleged in the impeachment complaint. In effect, parang hindi sumagot and instead they are questioning the proceeding before the Justice Committee in support of their intention to dismiss the impeachment complaint,” Luistro said. Luistro also said the committee could treat the Vice President’s filing as a general denial, noting that the lack of a direct response may leave the allegations standing. “Ngayon considering that the answer is not responsive to the complaint, it appears like unrebutted ang mga allegations ng complainant,” she said. “Kumbaga since hindi sinagot directly, it is as if tinanggap ang allegations na ito and we will be perceiving this as general denial ng mga allegations doon sa complaint,” Luistro said. She maintained that the House panel had already established the sufficiency of the complaints during earlier deliberations, stressing that the respondent was given the opportunity to answer the charges. “We respect the opinion of the camp of the Vice President but of course we’ve been very cautious in the compliance to our rules,” Luistro said.

Bongbong Marcos and Martin Romualdez versus Imee Marcos Re: San Juanico Bridge Rehabilitation Imee Romualdez Marcos is just a Waray when it benefits her, huh? Despite that, Tacloban City supported her, enough to end up second in the polls. But for the love of the Dutertes, she’s not just willing to abandon her family —- she also abandoned her common sense and reason. In her desperate attempt to paint Martin Romualdez in a bad light to please Sara Duterte, Imee Marcos made a fool out of herself. House Spokesperson, Atty. Princess Abante, argued that if she wanted to… as Senator, she has every power/ mandate to propose a higher budget for the San Juanico bridge. Atty. Abante in several media interviews that Martin Romualdez made sure that there are funds allocated for San Juanico bridge, she cited actual amounts: “P27M noong 2018, P22M noong 2019, P105M noong 2021, P90M noong 2022, P150M noong 2023, at may proposal na P400M para sa 2026.” But as Atty. Clarie Castro mentioned in the video attached below, it was only during the time of President Bongbong Marcos Jr., that the bridge was inspected. When the President went to Tacloban with the House Speaker Romualdez and Senior Deputy Majority Leader Sandro Marcos… he hinted that the previous administration neglected the maintenance of the bridge. Well, Imee Marcos sure knows how to point fingers but not willing to do the work. Both President Bongbong Marcos Jr and House Speaker Martin Romualdez are already working to address the problem, as both recognize the vital role of the bridge for the economy of Samar and Leyte. Romauldez and Acidre coordinated with public and private sectors to come up with alternative routes by sea while the repair is on-going. The President also set an ultimatum, he wants the San Juanico bridge rehab done by December. And no, we don’t want Imee Marcos as the next President. She’s just another Sara Duterte lapdog for reasons I really don’t know. Lols

The Supreme Court just proved to all of us that the ICC case against Rodrigo Roa Duterte is necessary It all made sense now! There’s a reason for the remand, there’s the reason for all the unnecessary delays — they are waiting for this decision.I feel like we’re being robbed of the truth by the very institution we tasked to uphold the constitution. Why are they trying so hard for us not to know the truth? All these layers of protection are telling me that there are a lot of things Sara Zimmerman Duterte is hiding and she will do whatever it takes for a no-trial scenario. Justice Leonen claims that their duty is just to protect the rule of law – to protect fairness or due process. But it feels like they are just protecting the accused, as trial doesn’t mean conviction. And all the four impeachment complaints have the same goal — to impeach Sara Zimmerman Duterte. I don’t understand! How was directly transmitting the impeachment complaint wrong? 215 congressmen signed the complaint! That is more than the required ⅔ votes of the constitution. I have read the decision, in my simple mind — THIS IS AN OUTRIGHT PROTECTION FOR THOSE ARE IN POWER. A very dangerous precedent. The Supreme Court single handedly tipped the balance away from the people by overturning the ruling in 2003 — the Francisco vs the House of Representatives reiterating that only the House holds the constitutional authority to initiate impeachment. More than ⅔ of the members signed the impeachment complaint and they are just throwing it away because of technicality. The response of the House of Representatives is available online, they explained how they counted the session days —- it is rules of procedure, the Supreme Court doesn’t concern themselves with the rules of a co-equal branch. How was that unfair for the accused? I heard the rumor that this might happen days before the announcement of the Supreme Court — still, this ruling hit me hard. I have no good words to say at the moment. It is comforting that the House of Representatives released a statement today that they will seek all legal matters: Atty Princess Abante said: “The House will exhaust all remedies to protect the independence of Congress and preserve the sanctity of our constitutional role. This is not defiance. This is constitutional fidelity.” I cannot consider the statements of the Senators as good news for now, just as long as Chiz Escudero is the Senate President —- the very reason for all the delays until this happened. I have no faith in them.

Chiz Escudero is obviously burying the impeachment case against Sara Duterte The worst Senate President of all time cannot blame us for actually believing recent reports saying that in the interest of self-preservation — he is burying the impeachment case against Sara Zimmerman Duterte. To be on the good side of the Duterte bloc, he’s doing whatever it takes to block the impeachment trial. This is why scheduling the presentation of articles of impeachment on the last day of session is concerning. What kind of circus will they do to kill the complaint signed by 215 congressmen on the last day of the 19th Congress? By protecting Sara Zimmerman Duterte, the Senate is setting a very dangerous precedent. In an hour long press conference, Escudero did not only try to justify his decision to delay the impeachment proceedings —- he also tried to establish that the plenary could decide whether or not to proceed. The discretion whether or not to proceed with the impeachment trial is not within the powers of the plenary, as this is their constitutional duty. Please remember that the impeachable positions constitute a different level of popularity, power and influence —- the impeachment was written in our constitution to hold even the highest official accountable. If popularity and influence play any part in this delay — the Senate is practically abandoning their duty. In a no-trial scenario, Senate President Chiz Escudero should be held liable for protecting the accused and neglect of duty. Please remember that as stated by the constitution, the House of Representatives has the EXCLUSIVE power to initiate all cases of impeachment. Once transmitted, the Senate has “the sole try and decide all cases of impeachment”. With no trial, the Senate is undermining a co-equal chamber, another dangerous precedent. Sara Zimmerman Duterte wants “blood bath”, all her allies in the Senate should push for the impeachment trial. If she truly is innocent, this is a good venue to clear her name. Marcos, Padilla, Villar, Dela Rosa and Go should join Hontiveros, Pimentel and Tolentino in pushing for the impeachment trial. Escudero tried to hide behind the pending priority legislation but they just spent hours yesterday talking about the impeachment. Might as well proceed with the presentation of articles, right? Watching the Senate plenary session yesterday got me thinking “How are these issues more important than accountability?”
