Not that it matters, but it's that 2nd video that got me to follow you. We need people who are willing to reassess previous assumptions when new data arrives, admit mistakes if needed, and go on driving on a better route. Respect.

Kaizen, Watch the video carefully. The officer was not in front of her car until she put it in reverse while steering right. Yes, he had started moving that direction when the other officers ordered her out of the car. But it was the movement of her vehicle that fully aligned him with her car.

So if an officer steps in front of my car, can I just run him over? Why is there a need to issue an apology? You can acknowledge the officer made a bad choice while also acknowledging that ultimate responsibility lies with the driver fleeing arrest.

The ice officer didn’t do anything wrong. There have been many times in my life I’ve seen officers in front of a vehicle with a driver in it. Here’s what really happened. She was involving herself in the wrong place at the wrong time because she was angry inside. This lead to her making bad decisions that put everyone’s life in danger. The police officer reacted to a life threatening situation. The police officer has the authority to stand anywhere he wants and the lady does not have the authority to drive into them while fleeing from the police. Your first video may have jumped to conclusions but I would encourage further investigation because ultimately the lady should not have been involving herself in this situation. I don’t believe anyone should be killed but if you jump into a gorilla enclosure then prepare to die

I think it's a good thing that you rethink your takes constantly, depending on new info. The error I think you did in your second take is assuming the officer walked in front of the car. He might have been standing still on the right as this video demonstrates.

Respect for trying to keep integrity but you can't win with these people on both sides. There's too many of them that can't critically think. You have to just be at peace with your words and decisions and know that the fallout is noise from people who mentally can't understand.

You completely leave out the possibilty that he was moving to the driver's side of the car to assist the other two officers.

Good on you bro, for being human and caring more about the truth than likes. I do not agree with your whole take on the Renee Good situation, but I can sure appreciate your want/need to be factually correct and thoughtful. Keep it up.

I started off in this new video on your side and agree with your conclusion to an extent. Politicians like for many reasons though. Your larger errors are: 1. Blaming the ICE officer for at best arguably making a mistake. I disagree that he made a mistake, but more with the ridiculous expectation that cops need to be perfect. 2. Blaming republicans for celebrating "mass deportations" (misleading leftist language by the way) and for making fun of liberals. They are getting what they voted for. Why wouldn't they celebrate? And Why wouldn't we make fun of the left?

Cowards definitely do not bravely stand up and say “Hey, I may have looked at that a little bit wrong before. Let me correct myself.”

If we can’t get back to this - in a reasonable way - we are toast. People are turning into zombies. They are making it so that there’s no point for anyone with a shred of integrity to share a viewpoint because this wild mob comes for them if they don’t fall in absolute lockstep or if they see something that makes them change your mind. And THIS is why you have the media you have.

I calmly ask you…Consider that the reason the Agent ended up in front of the car was because she had her front wheels turned when she reversed. Review the body cam video (probably the video) and set aside the NYT take on it for your review. The car movement put him in front.

I watched the play by play as well but I LISTENED to what took place as well as watched to the physical actions. Kaizen she was being detained. The officer at her window issued the command to exit the vehicle. The second officer was in a dialogue with her wife as he reached the front of her vehicle to cross and assist with the apprehension. He cleared the right headlights and the front grill at this time there was visual eye contact between the driver and the officer and it was as he was passing in front of the of the left headlight when Renee’s wife commanded her to drive. She drove striking him. He suffered internal bleeding. You rushed both your takes on the matter

Kaizen, I completely appreciate that you posted your update video. I don't agree, but I am definitely biased. I had a deputy do what this ICE agent did. The vehicle was used as a weapon. He moved but still got his foot run over. He shot and killed the driver. My deputy went home to his family. I would suggest you do some ride-alongs with LE if you have not. I think you would understand more what is actually happening on the streets. People don't respect LE anymore. Federal or State/Local. They have millions of contacts per year and the only ones that make it in the news are when there is a mistake or perceived mistake. You are doing a wonderful job. You are thoughtful and consistent with your logic. Don't worry about either side. You are sticking with your principles and that is what counts. Keep going, Sir.

I love what you're doing and you are wrong still. From 1:04 to 1:07 you captured why you're wrong perfectly. Viewers can see that as the vehicle reverses, with the wheels turned to the driver left, that it is THIS act that swings the front of the vehicle and it's forward orientation ACROSS the position of the ICE officer. It is the vehicle motion that puts the ICE officer in front of the bumper. NOT the motion of the officer. This is the geometry. Think if you're parallel parking, how moving backwards with your wheels turned can change the orientation of the vehicle when backing up just a few feet by 6-8 feet when backing up just 3-4 feet. The officer would have seen this: as she was refusing to obey orders to get out of the vehicle. As her wife was yelling: "Drive Baby Drive!" and as he heard (because these things are audible) the shift of the transmission from reverse into forward gear. It is then very plausible that he felt threatened, and would have reached for his gun. This does not excuse that he walked in front of and also behind a running vehicle as he made his first pass. It does not change the reality that ICE made mistakes here that compounded the danger that ultimately Renee Good and her decision to enter a hot zone and obstruct officers created in the first place.

I strongly respect your work. The people who called you a "coward" are out of line. My counter is that the officer was not in front of the vehicle until Renee Good repositioned her car. He was out of the way, then she turned the car in reverse putting him in front of it.

Mad respect to you. And I guarantee you're not alone. As new footage was coming out, opinions did change. Nothing wrong with being objective. This isn't about picking a side. That's the problem with politics and social media today. And I think a lot of people are afraid to say what they really think. There were problems on BOTH sides that created this tragedy.

We are not always right and not always wrong. Your takes on situations are respected, always reasonable and in depth. I don’t agree about your take that the officer shouldn’t have been in front of her car. She was not free to leave and moving in reverse.

I like your takes. I don’t agree with everything but I appreciate your thoughts. I think it’s easy to hypothesize and say xyz but the truth is none of us were there and none of us were the ICE officer or Renee Good. I don’t think Renee deserved to die but it was justified.

I respect you so much, sir. I think you have the most down-to-earth observations of anyone I follow on X. Will you always get it right? No. But you’re willing to discuss and admit error and that’s the most important thing. I agree with you on how to deal with conflict.

I was totally on your side until you made it seem like only liars stand next to Trump at the White House. I think that was a bit of an emotional response. I still support you and appreciate your honest takes. But I agree. He shouldn’t have stepped in front of her vehicle. But she had been parked for over 3 min & refused to move. If he went behind her vehicle, to support the other officer, she would have hit him as well & people would say he shouldn’t have been where she couldn’t see him. Unfortunate situation she shouldn’t have put herself in. I suspect they were told in their anti ICE classes that ICE doesn’t use live rounds, her wife cried out that she thought they use rubber bullets.
