A woman and her husband went to the store to get an Apple gift card for $100. After they got it, they had tried to use it for their iPhone. The opened the package and got the card out, the last few digits on the back of the card are missing and she couldn’t use it. She goes back to the store and speaks to customer service about a refund. Customer service claims they can’t do anything about it because there are no refunds on gift cards and they need to call the company the card is for. She then pulls a few of the same cards off of the display and opens them in front of customer service and proves to them that they all have the same issue. This does look like the card was manufactured defectively and the customer service rep acknowledged it, but why are they leaving it on the shelf for other people to buy it and be ripped off?

A few years ago Jessi asked me if I would be interested in being her next co-host for the Bardown Beauties Podcast. People have always asked me how that came to be and this is how. I knew of Jessi when I started working with the Wild, and interacted with her initially when I was a guest on the podcast and then she and Alexis were guests on the show I hosted for the Wild at the time. But, the first summer I spent working for DaBeauty League was where I went from knowing Jessi as a professional and got to know Jessi on an incredibly personal level. This was the stuff we did that summer. We talked about life, we had fun, and she signed herself up to get some of her hair shaved off. This is one of the videos I’ve watched over and over these last few days because this is where it really all started and I’m forever grateful for it.

We created a Minecraft animated video for #MinecraftLive with Mojang! We pitched "Minecraft but with Swedish death metal" mostly as a joke - we thought it'd be hilarious and that there'd be no way they'd go for it …and now this exists 🎸🤘 We had a great time making this and we got to work with some super funny and talented people. Our team is made up of some incredible amazing artists & animators, the music alone was created by 3 incredible musicians. Every person who worked on this got to add their touch and it shows - the video turned out amazing and you guys have been showing it lots of love. Thank you! ❤️ Very proud of the team! I started listening to No Agenda in 2010 after seeing John on another podcast as a guest. He was the only one saying anything interesting on the panel. :) Comedy is rooted in the unexpected and John had a real knack for it. I have too many ANAs to choose from, but this immediately came to mind. It was a spit-my-coffee-out moment for me (from Sept of 2020). Thank you John for the laughs and deep insights. I am forever grateful for the show and its amazing community.

Deadline extended to midday Saturday because we have a new clue! I got asked a LOT of questions about why the dials go in alternating directions so I asked our white coat boffin, Philip Steele . He phoned our engineers and found one that had just been taken off the wall and took it apart... So - have a watch, marvel at the mechanical beauty, see if it gives you any new ideas - and answers Saturday! Oh yeah - and this seems to have got big on X and Insta so 2 winners up for grabs PLUS it's had a lot more entries than I expected so we'll do lots of runners up prizes of Octopus plushies :)

As you said, I'm not actually confident in myself at all, but it's mostly bc of you, who came and filled in the parts of me that I couldn't do at all, who came and filled in the parts that I didn't want to do at all in the beginning bc I was too afraid. It's bc of you that I am who I am today. If it weren't you, then it couldn't be anyone else. Thank you so much for always helping me in everything. For our show today, even though it's our second time, at first I was like, "It's going to be chill. Of course we can do it. We could do a full hour concert with just the two of us, this will pass in no time, we can do it!" But it turned out harder than every other time for many reasons. We had many things to do too. But I was willing to do everything and I was honestly very happy during the show. I feel like I don't usually get to see myself let myself go, let loose, and just chill to this extent. Didn't think we'd get one of these. I first started a Youtube channel back in 2017 doing music and got 6k subscribers after 6 years. And it wasn't for a lack of trying. Then started uploading travel videos with Eunice and somehow got into cooking. It's like a game of dice. You're going to 7 out most of the time but if you keep rolling you'll catch that one hot streak that'll turn it around. Not sure if we consider ourselves as Youtubers since we mostly repost shorts on there but still this is nice. Thank you all ❤️.

.DHH credits Marc Andreessen Marc Andreessen 🇺🇸 with helping him the most during the darkest time of his professional life: "It was during that rough going where Andreessen came in. We were a small company of 60 people and 20 took the offer and left. That's almost a third of the company that decided to leave and we got to a point where we were thinking that not many more have to leave before we need to worry about whether we can keep the lights on. And it was actually Tobi who then put me in contact with Marc Andreessen because Marc had been exposed to this phenomenon at some of his portfolio companies. And Marc gave us reassurance and a bunch of contacts. Marc said, "Do you need someone to come in to help do programming or help with operations or whatever?" And I was floored by the generosity because Marc and I haven't always seen eye to eye on things. Especially in terms of venture capital. He's been one of the main faces of venture capital for decades and I've been kind of critical at times. And it was just a realization that all those grievances we might have thought to be so big once upon a time were actually minuscule. We were fighting the white walkers on the other side of the wall and all our internal squabbles were going to be for nothing if those f*ckers got inside the wall and destroyed everything. And that felt like a real threat at the time. That could've happened. They could very well have just ripped the whole thing apart. And Marc clearly saw that that this was a collective, almost existential threat to the entire industry. If these activists were able to take over these institutions in the same way that they have taken over academia we would be f*cked and not just for a little while but potentially for decades. That couldn't stand. And Marc was incredibly helpful not just in terms of these contacts and introductions and so on but it was very powerful. When you have literally 40,000 people on Twitter calling you all the worst things in the world even the strongest individual might go for a second like "Holy sh*t. The mob is coming for me and there's no one else there." And there are other people there. Tobi was there. Marc was there. And it was incredibly helpful to give us the fortitude to go like "No do you know what? We're going to stick with it. We're not going to grovel. We're not going to apologize. We're not going to revert." And then what Marc also did was he gave me a syllabus for understanding the history of wokeness going all the way back to the '60s and beyond. That this didn't just come as lightning from a blue sky. This had an institutional grounding that was set in motion particularly in the '60s and the long march through the institutions, Herbert Marcuse and a lot of The Frankfurt School and all of these groups that had designs on how to reshape society and create the revolution they so dearly wanted, but with a timeline and a roadmap that was demarcated in decades. That it wasn't just like "Well we're going to put something together and then in two years something's going to happen." No they were sitting in the fucking '60s fantasizing about how to overthrow everything in the 2000s. It's actually incredible in a Dr. Evil sense of it but when you're on the receiving end of it it seemed a little less incredible and it was just difficult not knowing where's this coming from? Why is this happening all of a sudden? Well it wasn't happening all of a sudden. There was this long history of it and when you understood that history it made a lot more sense. We weren't just making a rejection for our little corner of the world. We were chipping in in the great civilizational battle of where this country was going to go, whether the white walkers beyond the wall were going to win. And we were like "No they're not going to f*cking win. Get them out of that f*cking wall. Take your goddamn spear and fire it with maximum velocity."

This first episode# of Costco Clueless… The “abandoned” trolley! I had a conversation with the guy and told him that if I were shooting an episode of People Behaving Badly right now, he would be the star. It started out with an abandoned trolley at the refrigeration section. It was there for a bit then when I started to record but he showed up. Then the second time, watch and listen at the end. When he did it a third time I had the off camera chat with him. There was a customer who have me a thumbs up and a thank you.

Rachel Reid on her relationship with Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams and how the three of them were in a unique position before and after Heated Rivalry airing. "It was after the filming that we started, you know, chatting in a group chat and stuff like that, and individually over the summer. It got me wondering once again if I was a good leader to the members, and if I was a good member to Carats throughout this time. I feel like I have to say something a bit profound today, as the group's representative It seems like something is going to happen before CARAT LAND. As you all might be aware of, SEVENTEEN is about to face something important, and I thought it would be better/polite to share this with you first before CARAT LAND, so I'm bringing this up on behalf of the group. Jeonghan and Wonwoo are here, and I wish Hoshi and Woozi were here too as I'm telling this... After a lot of deep and sincere conversations among us members, all 13 of us have decided to renew our contracts. We will continue to sail the same boat and move forward working hard together. Thank you!
