The movie "The Princess Bride" meant so much to Andre the Giant that he made his wrestling friends watch an advanced copy of the VHS with him over, and over, and over again. He'd supply dinner, drinks and sweetly asking them each time, “What did you think of the movie? Did you like my performance?”

André the Giant, born André René Roussimoff, was a French professional wrestler and actor known for his massive size, standing at an impressive 7 feet 4 inches tall and weighing as much as 520 pounds. By 1973, he had already gained significant fame in the wrestling world. He began his career in France and moved on to perform in Japan, Canada, and eventually the United States, where he became a superstar in the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF), now known as the WWE. André's unique size, derived from gigantism and acromegaly, coupled with his remarkable strength and surprising agility, made him an unforgettable figure in the wrestling ring and earned him the nickname "The Eighth Wonder of the World". His feats in the ring during this period solidified his reputation and set the stage for his future success.
