The Corps says Ukrainian forces cleared 75 km2 of territory from Russian infiltration and retook another 10 km2. Operation Vivaldi, a successful counteroffensive by Ukraine's Defense Forces led by the Third Army Corps (commanded by Brigadier General Andrii Biletskyi) in the Lyman area of northern Donetsk region, completely crushed the "northern pincer" of the Russian grouping and disrupted the enemy’s plan to encircle the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration - the "belt of fortress cities." Ukrainian Warriors cleared 75 km² of territory and de-occupied another 10 km². The village of Serednie was fully liberated. Novoselivka, Oleksandrivka, Yarova, and the outskirts of Korovii Yar were cleared of Russian infiltration. Around 1,500 Russian troops were eliminated. More than 12,000 drones and hundreds of armored vehicles, artillery systems, and other vehicles were destroyed. The Ukrainian offensive dealt a crushing blow to the combat capabilities of Russia’s 20th and 25th Armies. Successful strikes on logistics, rear bases, fuel and ammunition depots, transport, communications hubs, and command posts forced Russians to relocate their fuel supplies outside Ukraine - to Russia’s Voronezh region: a tactical military fuel pipeline was shut down and the storage facilities were moved. Moreover, acute fuel and power shortages severely disrupted the operation of Russian electronic warfare systems. The offensive was carried out in complete operational secrecy, catching the enemy by surprise, as the Russian command had long been receiving distorted and overly optimistic reports about the actual situation on the ground. The advance of two armies and a tank division of the Russian armed forces was repelled: forces of the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine destroyed dozens of units of equipment and a large number of occupier personnel. On July 22, the occupiers, using forces of the 8th and 41st Armies along with the 90th Tank Division, attempted an assault in the sector held by the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine, involving dozens of units of armored and light vehicles. For four hours, they attempted to enter settlements in the area of the village of Shakhove. The enemy attempted to deny the sky to Ukrainian forces using "Gerbera" and "Lancet" strike drones.
